    摘要: A magneto-optical recording apparatus including a carriage provided with a magnetic field generator and an optical pickup for recording a magneto-optical disc, a drive mechanism connected to the carriage for driving the carriage, and a guide for guiding the carriage radially of and parallel to the magneto-optical disc. The carriage is divided into an upper carriage and a lower carriage which are pivoted relative to each other. A guide bar having an upward bent portion is disposed at a side of the upper carriage. A side wing is formed at a side of the upper carriage and placed on the guide bar. The upper carriage is pivotally raised by the upward bent portion when unloading a magneto-optical disc. The optical pickup is aligned with the magnetic field generator to coincide a beam generating area with a magnetic field generating area.

    摘要: A power-down biasing circuit includes a current source connected to a drain of a first NMOS transistor through a first switch. A gate of the first NMOS transistor is connected to the current source, and a source of the first NMOS transistor is connected to ground. A first pre-chargeable capacitor is connected between the gate of the first NMOS transistor and ground. A plurality of NMOS transistors form a current multiplier and have gates connected to the current reference. A plurality of current mirrors are connected to drains of the plurality of NMOS transistors and to output switches. Each current mirror has a first PMOS transistor whose drain is connected to a drain of a corresponding one of the plurality of NMOS transistors through a second switch, whose gate is connected to the drain of the corresponding one of the plurality of NMOS transistors and whose source is connected to a supply voltage; a second capacitor is connected between the gate of the first PMOS transistor and the supply voltage; and at least two PMOS transistors are connected as a current multiplier to the output switches. Cascode equivalent biasing circuits are described also.

    摘要: A phase change memory comprises a first electrode formed over a substrate, a patterned phase change material layer formed over the first electrode to contact the first electrode and including a conductive material, and a second electrode formed over the patterned phase change material layer to contact the patterned phase change material layer. Instead of heat generation, the conductive channel is used to adjust resistance while maintaining characteristics of non-volatile memories. Hence, the power consumption can be reduced. Due to no use of the phase change, the shortened lifetime of equipment for fabricating semiconductor memories, usually caused by a volume change during the phase change, can be reduced.
