    Abstract: An AID allocation method for a multi-link device, includes: An access point multi-link device generates and sends a first frame. Correspondingly, a station device receives and parses the first frame to obtain an AID that is allocated to the station device and carried in the first frame. The AID is neither a BSSID that can be supported by a first-type access point in the access point multi-link device nor an identifier of an access point in the access point multi-link device. The first-type access point is an access point for establishing a link between the station device and the access point multi-link device.

    Abstract: The technology of this application relates to methods and apparatuses for sending and receiving a physical layer protocol data unit. The method includes generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), where the PPDU includes a short training field, a length of a frequency domain sequence of the short training field is greater than a first length, and the first length is a length, for example, 2048, of a frequency domain sequence of a short training field that is transmitted over a 160 MHz-bandwidth channel. The method further includes sending the PPDU over a target channel, where a bandwidth of the target channel is greater than 160 MHz. According to embodiments of this application, a larger actual channel bandwidth can be achieved, and backward compatibility is implemented.

    Abstract: This application provides a radio frame sending method and apparatus, and a radio frame receiving method and apparatus. First information for identifying a first MLD in an MLE is included in a radio frame, so that a receiver of the radio frame obtains information of the first MLD from the MLE based on the first information after receiving the radio frame.
