摘要： A sole component and a method of manufacturing the sole component are disclosed. In general, the sole component includes a fluid-filled bladder and a reinforcing structure extending around the bladder. The reinforcing structure is bonded to the exterior of the bladder, and may be recessed into the bladder. In some embodiments, the reinforcing structure extends along the side surfaces of the bladder and between upper and lower surfaces of bladder. In manufacturing the sole component, the reinforcing structure may be located within a mold, and the polymer material forming the bladder may be bonded to the reinforcing structure during the molding process.

摘要： The invention is an article of footwear having a sole comprised of one or more support elements formed of a resilient, compressible material. The support elements are designed such that impact forces generated by movements of a wearer deflect the support elements in a manner that produces a force directed to center the wearer's foot above the sole. The directed deflection characteristics of the support elements are due to a downward cant of the support elements' upper surfaces and flexion indentations that facilitate bending in one direction.

摘要： An improved article of footwear for limiting inversion and eversion of the ankle is disclosed. The article of footwear includes at least one support which limits eversion and inversion while permitting a full range of motion in the plantar and dorsi flexion plane. The support includes a plurality of finger-like elements extending vertically upward from the sole along the upper The breadth of each finger-like element is greater than its width so that the element will freely bend in the dorsi and plantar flexion plane and not in the medial and lateral flexion plane. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the article of footwear has supports located in the rear-foot, mid-foot and forefoot regions of the article of footwear for preventing inversion and eversion as well as for enhancing the fit of the article of footwear and containing the foot over the sole.

摘要： A dry powder inhalator for delivering a precise dose of a medicament contains a mesh disc impregnated with a series of spaced, medicament doses about the disc periphery. The inhalator is armed by manually retracting a finger pull extending downwardly from the bottom of the inhalator housing or rotating the bottom of the housing. The user inserts a mouthpiece on the housing into the mouth and inhales. This causes a chamber in the housing under a diaphragm to evacuate, thereby pulling the diaphragm down onto a knock out lever. The pivoting of the lever enables release of a piston into a cylinder which first compresses, and then dispenses a reduced volume of air at high pressure in a burst up through the medicament disc. When the burst of air hits the impregnated disc, the dose is forced out of the mesh's interstices, producing a cloud of the drug in its powdered form, which is inhaled by the user.
