    摘要: Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus in a CDMA communication system for transmitting a transmit data subjected to a spread modulation processing with a predetermined spreading factor, and demodulating the transmit data by subjecting received signals to a despread processing. A first despread signal generator multiplies a received signal by the same code as a spreading code on the transmission side for each chip, divides the results of multiplications for all the chips into a plurality of groups, and sums the results of multiplications in each group so as to output respectively a despread signal having a spreading factor which is smaller than the spreading factor on the transmission side. A second despread signal generator sums respective k pair of the despread signals which are output from the first despread signal generator so as to generate a plurality of despread signals having a predetermined spreading factor. A bit error rate estimator judges whether the transmit data is “0” or “1” from each of the plurality of despread signals in a predetermined spreading factor, and estimates a bit error rate BER in the predetermined spreading factor by using the results of judgments.

    摘要: A technique used in a mobile communications system. A mobile terminal station transmits a signal subjected to an error-correction encoding processing. Each of a plurality of base stations receives the signal transmitted from the mobile terminal station via the wireless line, performs an error-correction decoding processing for the received signal, and transmits an error-correction decoded signal to a base-station host apparatus via the wired line. The base-station host apparatus performs an error-correction encoding processing for each of the signals received from the base stations, composes the thus error-correction encoded signals into one signal, and performs an error-correction decoding processing for the composed signal. The technique can improve the error rate of a received signal without increasing the amount of signal data flowing between the base stations and the base-station host apparatus.

    摘要: A transmitter for use in digital radio communications systems includes: a bit corrector controls bit arrangement in such a manner that a code having high significance, out of multiple codes obtained by coding, is allocated with high priority to a bit having a tendency that the likelihood enlarges at the time of symbol decision on a receiver; a multi-level modulator allocates the code to the multiple bits in accordance with a predetermined symbol arrangement; and a symbol arrangement controller controls the symbol arrangement from equal distance arrangement to another arrangement in accordance with a ratio of the codes different in significance. To control symbol arrangement increases the effect of bit correction and improves an error rate on the receiver.

    摘要: A packet data retransmission control method, where a base-station upper-level control system transmits downstream packet data, which is terminated at a terminal station, to a plurality of base stations. A specific base station that is one of the base stations transfers the downstream packet data to the terminal station. The plurality of base stations receive an upstream control signal with which reception of the downstream packet data is acknowledged and which is returned from the terminal station. Base stations other than the specific base station notify the specific base station via the base-station upper-level control system that they have received the upstream control signal. The specific base station determines packet data to be retransmitted according to the receiving situation thereof for the upstream control signal returned from the terminal station and the receiving situations of the other base stations for the upstream control signal.

    摘要: Disclosed are an error-detecting encoding apparatus for creating parity bits by error-detecting encoding processing, appending the parity bits to an input data string and encoding the data string, and an error-detecting decoding apparatus for detecting error using these parity bits. Data segmenting means segments an input data string, which is to undergo error-detecting encoding, into a plurality of sub-data strings, dividing means divides the segmented sub-data strings by a polynomial, which is for generating an error-detecting code, and calculates remainders, converting means applies conversion processing, which conforms to a segmentation position of the sub-data strings, to the remainders on a per-remainder basis, and combining means combines converted values, which have been obtained by the conversion processing, and outputs parity bits. An encoder appends this parity to a data string, and a decoder detects error using this parity.
