Abstract:
An integrated circuit architecture on a single chip, including a module for digital IQ generation; a module for LO synthesis; a digital mixing module; a multi-stage filtering and decimation module; a passband equalization module; an integration module; and a DC offset adjustment module.
Abstract:
An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) automatically determines whether to use electrogram (EGM) signals sensed by a true bipolar electrode pair or those sensed by an integrated bipolar electrode pair. EGM signals from both the true bipolar pair and the integrated bipolar pair are simultaneously sensed and compared to determine which pair produced more accurate sensing of cardiac events. The more accurate source of EGM signals is selected and used in determining the therapy to be delivered.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method of this embodiment may include controlling, at least in part, by a first device, whether a first signal line of a second device is coupled to a bus, and whether a second signal line of a third device is coupled to the bus. The method of this embodiment may also include, after the first and second signal lines are coupled to the bus, supplying from the first device to the second and third devices, via the first and second signal lines, one or more signals that, after being received by the second and third devices, may permit, at least in part, at least one of control and configuration by the first device of the second and third devices. Of course, many modifications, variations, and alternatives are possible without departing from this embodiment.
Abstract:
A system and method for effectuating messaging between a first unit and a target unit by using a communication framework and one or more transport modules is provided. The system may include at least one application program operable to originate to and terminate electronic messages from a target unit. The transport modules provided for exchanging with the target unit the electronic messages that are originated to and terminated from the at least one application program. The at least one transport module is adapted to provide connectivity to the target unit via at least one of a plurality of networks. The communication framework adapted to select one or more of the transport modules based on dynamic-delivery policies, and in turn, to pass between the selected transport modules and the application program the electronic messages originated to and terminated from the target unit.
Abstract:
The described embodiments relate to processing systems and means for controlling processing systems. One exemplary method includes sensing for a human presence in a region proximate a processing system independently of any human engagement of the processing system. The method further includes generating a signal based on the sensing; and, controlling at least one user-perceptible output of the processing system based, at least in part, on the signal.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method is provided that may include determining, at least in part, at an intermediate station one or more locations in storage devices of one or more respective portions of check data and/or other data. The check data may be generated, at least in part, at the intermediate station based at least in part upon the other data. This method also may include determining, at least in part, at the intermediate station, based at least in part upon forwarding information, one or more ports of the intermediate station via which to forward one or more packets. The one or more packets may be generated at the intermediate station based at least in part upon one or more other packets received via one or more other ports of the intermediate station. The other packets may comprise the check data and/or other data.
Abstract:
A base frame for a nacelle of a direct driven wind turbine includes a first interface to connect a rotor arrangement of the wind turbine with the first interface. A second interface is arranged to connect a tower with the second interface. An intermediate part connects the first and the second interface. The second interface has a collar structure. A third interface is arranged to attach a support structure to the base frame. The third interface exclusively has a first connection-area and a second connection-area. The first connection area connects the third interface with the collar structure. The second connection-area connects the third interface via a rib with the intermediate part of the base frame.
Abstract:
A processing method for a bump-included device wafer which includes an adhesive providing step of providing an adhesive in an annular groove of a carrier wafer so that the adhesive projects from the upper surface of an annular projection of the carrier wafer; a wafer attaching step of attaching and fixing the front side of the device wafer through the adhesive to the front side of the carrier wafer so as to accommodate bumps in a recess of the carrier wafer after performing the adhesive providing step; and a thickness reducing step of grinding or polishing the back side of the device wafer to reduce the thickness of the device wafer to a predetermined thickness after performing the wafer attaching step.
Abstract:
A wheel spindle drive element for a wheel disconnect system. The wheel spindle assembling onto an outer diameter of a spindle, displacing material to form a joint with high torque transmission characteristics.
Abstract:
A therapeutic device for thermally assisted urinary function is presented. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of an upper thermal element (18) and a lower thermal element (19) having a portal (15), both elements substantially cup-shaped to cover and contact the groin. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of a material sufficiently capable of storing energy from either an external or internal source. The therapeutic pad (14) communicates stored energy as heat to tissues comprising the groin and regions adjacent thereto. The portal (15) allows for the unimpeded flow of urine from the urinary tract into a receptacle. A variety of alternate embodiments are provided, including lift tabs (17a, 17b), an extension element (35) for heating the perineum, a portal sleeve (23) for heating the penis, a slit (34) which bisects the therapeutic pad (14) and portal sleeve (23), a pair of rings (26, 27) to open and close the slit (34), an interior cover (30) about the therapeutic pad (14) for applying moist heat, and support elements (31) along the therapeutic pad (14).
