Abstract:
A device and process for extracting plastic preforms (5) from holders. Said device comprises a plate (23), which features straight slits (26) positioned parallel to each other, that is attached to a supporting table (20, 21). Each slit (26) comprises wider sections and constrictions (29, 30), which have a width (L2) smaller than the diameter of the ring (9) of the preform, so that the ring (9) can be fitted into the slit (26) through the wider section. The plate (23) is moved in the direction > by a specific length until the constrictions are positioned under the ring, and, thus, the preforms are removed by moving the plate away from the holders.
Abstract:
A heated blow mould for the thermostabilizing treatment, or the heat-set process, where at least a heating system is housed between the mould (2) and mould holder (3). Said system consists of a set of tubular electric resistors, which are parallel to the generator of the mould and of the item to be moulded, connected to each other by additional electric resistors, which are basically transversal in relation to the first resistors and placed in areas requiring greater heat.
Abstract:
Apparatus for blow moulding hollow plastic bodies from plastic preforms, or parisons, which is adapted to detect bursts occurring in plastic bottles. To this purpose, the apparatus itself comprises a differential pressure transducer arrangement (10, 11), a low-pressure gas supply source (103) along with a related first supply channel (101), a high-pressure gas supply source along with a related second supply channel (105). The differential pressure transducer arrangement is made up by one or more tubes (3, 4) arranged crosswise in the second supply channel; these tubes contain respective separate chambers opening (5, 6) into the interior of said second supply channel (Pitot tubes). Two sensors (7, 8) adapted to detect respective pressures are connected in a distinct manner to said respective chambers. Any possible pressure variation at pre-determined moments during the blow-moulding cycle is processed and compared, and the result is an indication of whether a serious irregularity, such as a burst or a silent gas leakage, took place during the blow-moulding process of a given bottle.
Abstract:
A process and device for drying the coating of containers made of thermoplastic material. The process involves feeding said containers through a furnace divided into two areas: in the first, most of the solvent of the coating is removed by heating the paint with infrared lamps, while the temperature of the containers is controlled through an airflow; in the second, the remaining solvent is removed using said airflow coming from the first area of the furnace.
Abstract:
In the moulding of parisons made of thermoplastic material for making bottles for containing effervescent beverages, resistance to bursting of the bottles is increased considerably the gasket (4) between the injector nozzle (3) and the injection cavity (1) is made of thermally insulating material and has a shape that is complementary to the shape of the cavity (1) for housing the end of the injector (3) in the injection cavity (1). Cutting of the sprue in specific conditions increases still more the resistance to bursting.
Abstract:
Apparatus for blow moulding plastic containers, comprising a plurality of pairs of half-moulds (1, 2) capable of being coupled with each other, separated from each other and clamped together, said pairs (1, 2) being associated to an appropriate central structure and constituted by a stationary half-mould (1), which is substantially attached to said structure, and a respective moving half-mould (2) capable of being opened and clamped with a rotary motion, in which there are provided means adapted (3, 4) to arrange a respective preform (7) in a pre-defined position adapted for blow moulding, and to hold this preform (7) in this position regardless of the position of the respective half-moulds (1, 2), these means being in particular constituted by: a fork means (3) firmly joined to a respective stationary half-mould (1), a pincer-like gripper (5) adapted to transfer a respective preform (7) from an external position and fit it on to the respective fork means (3), and a small-tube (4) assembly adapted to be inserted in the mouth opening of the preform (7) when the latter is fitted on to the respective fork means (3).
Abstract:
Apparatus for blow molding hollow plastic bodies (7) comprising a plurality of pairs of mutually joinable half-molds (2, 4) capable of being opened and closed, associated to an appropriate rotary apparatus (10) carrying said half-molds (2, 4), a retrieval device adapted to remove the finished container (7) from the respective pair of half-molds (2) after the opening thereof, an opening and closing mechanism adapted to close the half-molds (2, 4) after the passage thereof through the position of the preform feeding mechanism, and to open them before the passage thereof through the position of the finished-container removal mechanism, in which said pairs of half-molds (2, 4) are constituted by a fixed half-mold (2) and a moving half-mold (4) that is capable of being opened from and closed against said fixed half-mold (2). In a preferred manner, said fixed half-molds (2) are linked to said rotary apparatus (10) and are arranged in a substantially vertical position, with the respective moving half-mold (4) adapted to be closed by accomplishing a substantially rotary movement about a horizontal axis of rotation.
