    摘要: A process and an apparatus for molding, in which a molten thermoplastic resin is firmly fitted onto a molding surface of a mold under a pressure lower than or equal to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 and is cured to obtain a molded product. The molding apparatus has a mold main body, and a mold body on which the molding surface is defined. The mold body is supported relative to the mold main body with maintaining a space on the back side of the molding surface in a heat insulative manner by a supporting member which includes at least a heat insulative supporting member having a thermal conductivity of 0.001 to 1 Kcal/mh .degree.C. and a longitudinal elastic modulus of 0.01 to 10 kg/cm.sup.2. In the space, a heating fluid for heating the molding surface from the bask side to a temperature higher than or equal to Vicat softening temperate (T) .degree.C. of the thermoplastic resin and a cooling fluid for cooling the molding surface from the back side to a temperature lower than or equal to (Vicat softening temperature (T) of the thermoplastic resin -10) .degree.C. are supplied.

    摘要: An injection blow molding (IBM) system and method for forming a plurality of parisons and molded articles. The IBM system includes at least one upper body mold half and one lower body mold half, with the upper and lower body mold halves cooperatively presenting a body cavity and being configured to define an exterior shape of a body of the parison. The tooling additionally comprises at least one upper neck mold half and one lower neck mold half, with the upper and lower neck mold halves cooperatively presenting a neck cavity and being configured to define an exterior shape of a neck of the parison. The tooling further comprises an upper thermal barrier plate positioned between the upper body mold half and the upper neck mold half and a lower thermal barrier plate positioned between the upper body mold half and the upper neck mold half.

    摘要: A blow molding process of producing molded articles including the steps of extruding a parison of the plasticized material from a die into a gap between mold halves while the mold is open and blowing gas into the parison, while the mold is closed, to have the parison form a molded hollow article within the mold. The parison is heated before molding by heating the inner shell contoured parts of the mold at the surfaces thereof and the plasticized material at the outer surface by using an instantaneous radiation heater disposed in the mold half gap to partially encompass the parison while the mold is open and the inner shell contoured part is heated by a heating medium passed through the heat medium passages. The molded article is cooled by cooling the mold at the inner shell contoured parts thereof by flowing a cooling medium through the heat medium passages of the mold while the mold is closed. The cooling of the mold occurs alternately with the heating of the mold by the heating medium.
