    摘要: A ferromagnetically coupled magnetic recording medium having a first ferromagnetic layer, a second ferromagnetic layer, and a ferromagnetic coupling layer to ferromagnetically couple the first ferromagnetic layer to the second ferromagnetic layer is used as stable magnetic media with high MrT in high density recording hard drives. The first ferromagnetic layer is the stabilization layer and the second ferromagnetic layer is the main recording layer. The ferromagnetic coupling layer comprises a conductive material having a thickness which produces ferromagnetic coupling between said first ferromagnetic layer and said second ferromagnetic layer via the RKKY interaction.

    摘要: In a piezoelectric drive comprising clamping piezo packets which are adjacently arranged, under compressive pre-stress, between a reference part and an output part, the reference part is connected to the clamping piezo packets by means of a “semi-rigid” bridging plate, which adapts in a flexible manner to differences in stack height of the piezo packets, in a static state but remains essentially rigid in a dynamic state, that is, at the operating frequency of the drive.

    摘要: An apparatus attached to a motor driven manipulating instrument for detecting and identifying specific forces employed in moving the instrument along a predetermined spatial track. The apparatus includes a center portion rigidly attached to the manipulating instrument and a sleeve member surrounding the center portion. A plurality of separate, flexible blades join the sleeve and center portions to each other, with a separate transducer fixedly attached to each flexible blade and capable of detecting bending forces employed to move the sleeve and attached instrument. The transducers generate output signals indicative of the magnitude and direction of the forces, which signals are used for establishing a program for controlling the actuation of the various motors to allow the instrument to repeatedly execute the course set forth in the program.

    摘要: A counter for measuring apparatus such as a water meter or the like includes a first number wheel for a low decade; a drive shaft for driving the first number wheel; an additional number wheel for values of a lowest decade; a clutch coupling for coupling the additional number wheel to the drive shaft; and, a cam mechanism for aligning the number wheels. The cam mechanism includes a rotatable cam shaft for actuating a first pawl for engaging an alignment star of the first number wheel and an additional pawl for engaging an alignment star of the additional number wheel. The cam shaft is configured so as to first cause the additional pawl to engage the alignment star of the additional number wheel, and then, to cause the first pawl to engage the alignment star of the first number wheel when the cam shaft is rotated.
