    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device in which viewing angle characteristics are improved without impairing transmittance. A liquid crystal display device of the present invention, comprises: a liquid crystal display panel including a liquid crystal layer and a pair of substrates sandwiching the liquid crystal layer; and a backlight unit disposed on a back side of the liquid crystal display panel, one of the pair of substrates including a pair of comb-shaped electrodes each having comb teeth, the comb teeth of one of the pair of comb-shaped electrodes and the comb teeth of the other of the pair of comb-shaped electrodes being disposed alternately and spaced apart from each other, the liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules with positive dielectric anisotropy, the liquid crystal molecules being aligned in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the one of the pair of substrates when no voltage is applied, and a difference between a proportion of liquid crystal molecules aligned in directions at angles of from 20° to 60° and angles of from −60° to −20° to the surface of the one of the substrates during white display relative to all liquid crystal molecules contained in the liquid crystal layer, and a proportion of light emitted in directions at angles of from 20° to 60° and angles of from −60° to −20° to the surface of the one of the substrates relative to all light emitted from the backlight unit and entering the liquid crystal display panel being less than 20%.

    摘要: In a system, a starter includes a motor for rotatably driving an output shaft with a pinion and an actuator that shifts the pinion toward a ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. A monitor unit monitors a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine. The rotational speed of the internal combustion engine drops after an automatic control for stop of the engine. When an engine restart request occurs with the rotational speed being within a preset range during the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine dropping by the automatic control for stop of the engine, a drive unit drives the actuator to shift the pinion toward the ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. The drive unit rotatably drives the motor with the pinion being engaged with the ring gear to thereby crank the crankshaft.

    摘要: A starter to start an engine mounted on a vehicle provides an electromagnetic solenoid to push a pinion gear towards a ring gear side, an electromagnetic switch to open and close a motor contact point. The electromagnetic solenoid and the electromagnetic switch are individually controlled by an Electronic Control Unit i.e., ECU. When an idle-stop is triggered, the ECU controls a starter relay to be closed during the ring gear is rotating whereby the pinion gear together with a clutch are pushed out to counter-motor direction by the electromagnetic solenoid. As a result, the pinion gear meshes with the ring gear that is rotating at lower rotational speed. Therefore, the inertial mass of the starter is added to the ring gear so that swinging of the engine can be suppressed.

The linear light guiding member includes: a selective-reflection portion for selectively reflecting light of a first polarization state out of light which enters into the linear light guiding member from the point light source; and a polarization conversion portion for, out of the light which enters into the linear light guiding member from the point light source, converting light of a second polarization state into light of the first polarization state, the second polarization state being different from the first polarization state.

    摘要: The toner transport device of the present invention includes a toner transport pipe, internally having a toner transport path for allowing toner to pass therethrough, which is disposed so that the toner transport path extends in an up-and-down direction and which vibrates in upward and downward directions. Further, on an upper joint section and a lower joint section of the toner transport pipe are provided an upper foamed elastic member and a lower foamed elastic member which internally has a toner passage for allowing the toner transported to/from the toner transport path to pass therethrough, wherein a wall surface of the toner passage is coated with a resin layer which does not allow the toner to pass therethrough. As a result, it is possible to properly prevent retention and solidification of toner in the toner transport path by the upward-and-downward vibration of the toner transport member and it is possible to properly prevent toner from leaking from the toner transport device.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided which is capable of forming higher-quality images by detecting a toner concentration with higher accuracy to attain appropriate toner supply and image density. A value obtained by adding a correction value based on a temperature, humidity, a print coverage, or the like to a developer concentration adjustment value is set as a control voltage value Vc which is to be inputted to a toner concentration sensor, and an output value of the toner concentration sensor is detected for each of process speeds. A difference between the output value detected and a value at reference process speed is calculated and based on the difference, a correction value is further calculated. Such another calculation of the correction value with use of the output value detected allows for highly accurate correction.
