Abstract:
A packet based high bandwidth copy protection method is described that includes the following operations. Forming a number of data packets at a source device, encrypting selected ones of the data packets based upon a set of encryption values, transmitting the encrypted data packets from the source device to a sink device coupled thereto, decrypting the encrypted data packets based in part upon the encryption values, and accessing the decrypted data packets by the sink device.
Abstract:
A network monitoring and controlling apparatus for monitoring and controlling a transmission network formed by a plurality of transmission apparatus includes: a path information storing unit for storing path information; a quality information periodic collection unit for periodically collecting quality information; a quality deterioration detecting unit for determining whether or not quality of the path is deteriorated; a path via point searching unit searching the path information storing unit and obtaining information on a path via points of the path deteriorated in quality; a path via point quality information collection unit for collecting quality information of channels corresponding to the path via points; and a quality deterioration point identifying unit for determining whether or not a deteriorated path via point is present.
Abstract:
A molding material for use with carbon dioxde, which comprises chlorinated polyethylene having a chlorine content of 25–47% by weight or a blend of chlorinated polyethylene with vinyl chloride-based resin, can be used as a suitable material for sealing materials in carbon dioxide-contacting apparatuses using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. Addition of a specific silane coupling agent to the molding material can effectively prevent vulcanization moldings from blister generation.
Abstract:
A current mode A/D converter for reducing current consumption while enhancing resolution. The A/D converter includes a V/I conversion circuit for sampling and converting an input voltage to a current, an I/V conversion circuit for converting the current supplied from the V/I conversion circuit to a comparison voltage, a comparator for comparing the current based on the comparison voltage and a reference current, and an encoder for generating a digital output signal based on the output signal of the comparator.
Abstract:
In a liquid crystal display apparatus having a backlight disposed behind a liquid crystal display panel 10, the liquid crystal display panel 10 has first and second substrates 11 and 21 disposed to face each other. The second substrate 21 has a common electrode 20 laid in a display area 12 thereon. The second substrate 21 further has a light-shielding inner black matrix 22 laid around the display area 12 and a light-shielding electrically insulated black matrix 22A, 22B, and 22C laid outside the inner black matrix 22 and electrically separated from the inner black matrix 22 and the common electrode 19. The liquid crystal display panel 10 is held, at the periphery thereof, by metal support frames 32 and 33.
Abstract:
An enumeration method for the link rate and a pixel/audio clock rate. The method can be performed by expressing the pixel/audio clock rate and the link rate with four parameters, A, B, C, and D based upon a master frequency 23.76 GHz as 210×33×57×111 Hz, and regenerating a pixel/audio clock from the link clock.
Abstract:
A memory efficient providing LC overdrive for sticky pixels at a frame n−1 for a current frame n based upon sticky pixel data associated with a frame n−2.

Abstract:
In a digital display device, a packet based method of driving selected pixel elements by way of associated data latches included in a column driver is disclosed. For each frame lines in a video frame, a number of video data packets are provided directly to the column driver at a link rate and each of the number of data latches are populated with appropriate video data based upon video data packets within a line period τ. Selected pixel elements are driven based upon the video data.
Abstract:
Keys (e.g., decryption key, authentication key) are stored in a non-volatile memory of a display unit. The keys are retrieved in encrypted form into an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit decrypts the keys and uses the keys. As the keys are available in decrypted form only within the integrated circuit and potentially only during use, the keys may not be available to unauthorized third parties.
