Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may measure a RSRP of a CRS for each of a plurality of neighboring cells. The apparatus may also calculate an interference strength of each of the plurality of neighboring cells based on the RSRP measurement of the CRS for each of the plurality of neighboring cells. Additionally, the apparatus may compare a PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE based on rate matching for a CRS offset associated with each of the plurality of neighboring cells with the PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE based on skipping the rate matching for the CRS offset. The apparatus may also transmit a request for the rate matching or skipping the rate matching for the CRS offset based on the comparison of the PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage medium for rate matching for TBoMS are provided. An example method includes calculating a slot length for each UL slot of a plurality of UL slots, the slot length for each UL slot being associated with a plurality of rate matching output bits, each UL slot including a starting point for the plurality of rate matching output bits, the slot length for each UL slot being associated with a starting boundary, the plurality of UL slots being associated with at least one of a single TB or a single rate matching. The example method may include allocating one or more bits of the plurality of rate matching output bits for a modulation process. The example method may include refraining allocating at least one bit of the plurality of rate matching output bits for the modulation process, the at least one bit corresponding to UCI multiplexing.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may utilize frequency domain (FD) compression for reporting channel state information (CSI) including a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). The UE may receive a CSI configuration specifying a first set of configured FD units to be reported. The UE may determine a first number of FD units based on the first set of configured FD units. The UE may select a second number of FD units that is greater than or equal to the first number of FD units. The UE may calculate, for one or more layers, a PMI for a second set of FD units including a number of FD units equal to the second number of FD units. The UE may allocate, according to a mapping rule, a number of PMIs for the first set of FD units to a subset of the PMIs for the second set of FD units.

The UE may perform, upon determining that the UE supports search space sharing, rate matching around the aperiodic reference signal.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to dynamically adapting the mapping between spectral efficiencies and channel quality indicators in real-time based on the channel conditions. In some examples, a scheduled entity (e.g., a UE) may maintain two or more predefined tables or other mappings, each including a respective mapping between spectral efficiency threshold values and channel quality indicators for a respective channel type. The UE may then calculate respective weighted sums of the spectral efficiency threshold values across the two or more predefined tables based on the current wireless channel. For example, the UE may estimate the wireless channel and determine respective weights to be applied to the spectral efficiency threshold values across the two or more predefined tables based on the channel estimate. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for enabling a user equipment (UE) operating in carrier aggregation mode to use different connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) configurations for different sets of component carriers associated with different sets of numerologies. For example, in Frequency 1 (FR1) plus Frequency 2 (FR2) carrier aggregation (i.e., one or more FR1 component carriers and one or more FR2 component carriers), a different CDRX can be configured for FR1 than for FR2. In inter-band carrier aggregation (i.e., one or more component carriers in one frequency band and one or more component carriers in another frequency band), CDRX can be configured per band. For mixed numerologies carrier aggregation (i.e., one or more component carriers with a first numerology and one or more component carriers with a different numerology), CDRX can be configured per cell group, where each cell group contains a single numerology or mixed numerologies.

The UE may select a Transmit (Tx)-Receive (Rx) beam pair from a plurality of Tx-Rx beam pairs available at the UE for measurement, based in part on a priority of the Tx-Rx beam pair, and update the priority of the selected Tx-Rx beam pair based in part on a combination of static information and dynamic information of the selected Tx-Rx beam pair.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for inter-cell interference randomization between two or more cells. For example, a network entity may determine a cell identifier associated with the network entity and perform at least one of an interleaving, rate-matching, or resource element mapping on at least one codeword based on the cell identifier. The network entity may further communicate with a user equipment (UE) in accordance with performing at least one of the interleaving, rate-matching, or resource element mapping on the at least one codeword. In another example, a UE may receive a message from a network entity on a communication channel and identify a cell identifier associated with the network entity. The UE may further perform at least one of a de-interleaving, de-rate-matching, or resource element de-mapping on the message based on the cell identifier.
