摘要: The medical lead delivery device more easily and quickly delivers a lead to or through the coronary vein of a patient's heart. The medical lead delivery device includes an elongated body, a controller, a first and second spring, and a sleeve. The elongated body includes a proximal end and a distal end. The controller is disposed at the proximal end and provides enhanced control of the distal tip of the elongated body.

摘要: A guide catheter and medical lead are provided wherein the lead may be used as a pull wire to steer the guide catheter. The guide catheter is provided with a flexible distal segment and the lead is provided with a distal engaging member, which may also serve as an electrode. The distal engaging member interacts with the distal catheter end such that traction applied to the proximal lead end causes flexion of the distal segment of the catheter to advance the flexible distal segment between a non-flexed position and a flexed position, allowing the catheter to be steered around obstacles.

摘要: A cardiac pacing lead for use in the coronary sinus and coronary veins. The lead is provided with a lead body configured to exhibit a curved configuration along a distal portion thereof, induced to maintain a portion of the curved configuration solely by means of a portion of a polyurethane lead body formed to display the curved configuration and wherein the lead conductor is freely mounted within the segment. The curved configuration includes first and second arcuate segments together providing a single-plane curvature of approximately 180 degrees, separated by a generally straight segment, the first segment having a greater length and greater arc of curvature than the second segment. The lead body encloses a first conductive coil coupled to an electrode mounted to the distal end of the lead body and a second elongated conductive coil is also located within the lead body and extends to a transition point proximal to the distal end of the first coil conductor, the second coil terminating within the lead body and insulated from the exterior of the lead body. The first conductive coil has a generally straight configuration and the distal portion of the second coil is formed to define a curve.

摘要: A single-pass pacing lead capable of sensing and pacing both the atria and the ventricles is described. In some examples, the single-pass pacing lead is connected to a DDD pacemaker. In some examples, the single-pass pacing lead comprises four electrodes. In some examples, the lead includes three electrodes configured to be positioned in or near an atrium, e.g., the right atrium, and one electrode configured to be positioned in or near a ventricle, e.g., the left ventricle, when the lead is implanted. In other examples, the lead includes two electrodes configured to be positioned in each of the atrium and ventricle when the lead is implanted. In some examples, one of the electrodes, which is configured to be positioned proximate the coronary sinus ostium when the lead is implanted, comprises a helical element for fixation of the lead to tissue.
