    摘要: The image heating apparatus includes a cylindrical film, a heating member, and a drive roller, wherein a recording material bearing an image is heated while the recording material is bound and conveyed by the nip portion, and a distance between a contact position between the film and the recording material and a contact position which the film and the drive roller is equal to or less than 3.5 mm over a longitudinal direction of the nip portion, and a line formed by connecting positions at which said film is separated in the longitudinal direction of the nip portion from the recording material in the conveyance direction has an arc shape. Thus a heating process can be executed while suppressing creases in the recording material and a density loss in the image formed on the recording material.

    摘要: The image heating apparatus for heating an image formed on a recording material includes a heater having a substrate and first and second heat generating resistors, most of the region of said first heat generating resistor having smaller resistance value per unit length toward an end in the longitudinal direction of said substrate, and most of the region of said second heat generating resistor having larger resistance value per unit length toward the end part; wherein a safety element can control electrical power supply to said first heat generating resistor and electrical power supply to said second heat generating resistor individually, and operates in response to the heat of said heater to cut off electrical power supply to said first and second heat generating resistors; and wherein only said second heat generating resistor in said first and second heat generating resistors has a high resistance part high resistance part corresponding to said safety element in a part in the longitudinal direction thereof; and consequently, this can provide an image heating apparatus that can cut off electrical power supply quickly when a heater has run away and to provide a heater to be used in this apparatus.

    摘要: An image generating apparatus is provided which can maximize the throughput without causing thermal damage of the fusing components. It determines a sub-thermistor temperature threshold value for switching small size paper feed intervals in response to a sub-thermistor initial temperature. It supplies a heating body with current for heating, and starts feeding recording mediums at the feed interval determined by a feed interval initial value. It makes a successively conveyed paper count. Every time the successively conveyed paper count reaches a paper count threshold value, it performs the switching control of the sub-thermistor temperature threshold value. If the sub-thermistor temperature exceeds the threshold value while the recording medium is passing through the fusing apparatus, it carries out the switching control of the feed intervals. In another mode, it prevents the extension of the paper feed interval of the paper conveyance during a specified paper count α.

An image forming apparatus has a photosensitive drum that carries a toner image, a transfer device which can apply a transfer bias to the transfer roller to transfer the toner image to a print material passing through the transfer nip portion, and a control device for controlling a transfer bias set value set in order to apply a predetermined transfer bias to the transfer roller. The control device switches a first transfer bias set value to a second bias set value smaller than the first transfer bias set value while the print material is passing through the transfer nip portion, in order to change the transfer bias applied to the transfer roller.

    摘要: Used in a Si crystal pulling apparatus using the Czochralski method, to lower the concentration of oxygen in the Si single crystal without increasing the production cost and to make the concentration substantially even all over the Si single crystal. The crystal 36 is produced by disposing a straightening tube 40 concentrically with and above a quartz crucible 22, letting inert gas flow down through the tube, dipping a seed crystal in Si molten liquid 28 in the quartz crucible and then pulling the seed crystal up. The concentration of oxygen in the Si single crystal is adjusted by controlling the distance H between the surface of the Si molten liquid and the bottom end of the straightening tube in accordance with the pull-up length Y or the pull-up time from a certain growth point of the crystal.
