摘要： A medical device assembly for imparting a lubricious and/or antimicrobial liquid onto a medical device is provided. The medical device is surrounded by a pouch and includes a burst package or frangible cells for storage of the liquid prior to delivery onto the surface of the medical device. This helps prevent contamination of the medical device upon removal of the medical device from its pouch, insertion of the device into a body cavity, and implantation of the device into the body cavity.

The present hydrogels provide for reduced skin irritation and/or malodor properties, hydrate a subject's skin, readily wet around a subject's skin surface hair, and protect against burning of a subject upon or due to electrical stimulation through the hydrogel.

摘要： An integrated method of making a printed film-nonwoven laminate, wherein the layers of the laminate are formed, printed and laminated within the same process. The method includes forming a nonwoven web, corona treating the nonwoven web, applying a print to a surface of the nonwoven web and immediately feeding the nonwoven web into a laminator where film is combined with or laminated to the nonwoven web. The film may also be formed and/or printed during the process prior to being fed into the laminator. The invention further includes apparatus for carrying out the integrated method.

摘要： An oxidizing antimicrobial treatment and products containing such treatment are described. The treatment involve, in part, preparing a substrate to accept an attachment of charged moieties, and a number of stabilized peroxide compounds on at least part of a surface of said substrate. When microbes, such as bacteria, having a net charge opposite to that of the charged moieties come in close proximity to the treated substrate surface, peroxide molecules from the substrate are activated and released to kill the microbes.

摘要： An absorbent article includes a vapor permeable backsheet, a liquid permeable topsheet positioned in facing relation with the backsheet; and an absorbent body located between the backsheet and the topsheet. The absorbent body may include multiple zones of high air permeability. The absorbent article may also include a ventilation layer between the absorbent body and the backsheet and a surge management layer between the absorbent body and the topsheet. The article exhibits improved air exchange within the article during use. As a result, the article maintains the temperature and exhibits substantially reduced levels of hydration of the wearer's skin when in use which renders the skin less susceptible to the viability of microorganisms. The absorbent article may further include lotion formulations and/or treatment compositions thereon for maintaining or improving skin health.
