摘要: Provided is a radio communication method capable of optimally using the wide-band communication enabled time while maintaining power saving in an ad hoc network. According to this method, in the ad hoc network using the wide-band communication and a narrow-band communication, transmission and output of the narrow-band synchronization tone signal and the resynchronization tone signal are controlled so that the reach radius of the narrow-band synchronization signal and the resynchronization tone signal exceeds the reach radius of the wide-band signal (milli-wave UWE signal). Thus, when radio communication devices pass by each other, super frame synchronization is completed before reaching the wide-band communication enabled range of the ad hoc network, thereby optimally using the wide-band communication-enabled time.

摘要: An information processing apparatus having a simplified switching function of a user is disclosed that can reduce the processing burden upon a CPU and eliminate an action that is not intended by its user. If an application, which implements a function of a device or the like that is not supported as a standard device by an OS and is started up for each user, has been started up by a first user who is not active at present, that is, a user in a logon state whose desktop has been switched to that of a second user, then part of the processing of the application is temporarily stopped. Then, if it is detected that the first user is rendered operative, that is, when the desktop is switched to that of the first user, the processing of the application of the first user is re-started. Since the processing of the application by the user (first user) who is not active at present is temporarily stopped partially, the other user (second user) who is active at present can execute its processing without being influenced by the processing of the former user.

摘要: The present invention provides a cyclone separator made up of a cyclone portion for generating an eddy flow at a given flow rate by feeding a liquid containing a fine substance from liquid discharge passageways, for transferring the fine substance to an outer circumferential side by applying a centrifugal force to discharge the fine substance-free liquid from a liquid flow-out passageway, and for precipitating the fine substance by decelerating the eddy flow. The liquid discharge passageways are disposed at plural sites and the cyclone separator further contains a liquid pressurizing chamber formed around the plural liquid discharge passageways in communication therewith, and a liquid introduction passageway for introducing the liquid containing the fine substance into the liquid pressurizing chamber.

摘要: An optical disk apparatus is provided, in which the optical disk tray can slide smoothly in and out, and the insertion and removal of an optical disk is facilitated, and wherein inadvertent scratches are not produced on the optical disk surface, and flying pieces of optical disk damaged during rotation are completely prevented from exiting the apparatus. By dividing a protrusion for preventing a damaged optical disk from flying out of the apparatus into a first protrusion and a second protrusion, with one protrusion provided on an optical disk tray and the other on a support member, any possibility of the optical disk flying out of the apparatus can be completely prevented, even if the height of each of the first and second protrusions is lowered. Because the second protrusion is lowered, the protrusion will not catch on the optical disk tray or the optical disk, and so a smooth sliding operation of the optical disk tray can be ensured.

摘要: A millimeter wave module includes a silicon substrate with first and second cavityes formed by anisotropic etching on the silicon substrate, and a glass substrate having a microstrip filter pattern and microbumps for connecting the glass substrate to the silicon substrate. A filter is provided using an air layer as a dielectric disposed in the first cavity. An MMIC is mounted by the flip chip method over the second air layer. A coplanar waveguide is on the silicon substrate for connecting the filter and MMIC. The filter having low loss is achieved because it has the microstrip structure using air as an insulating layer. Also change in characteristics of the MMIC during mounting is eliminated because the MMIC is protected by contacting air. Accordingly, the millimeter wave module has excellent characteristics and is made using a simple method.

摘要: An endoscope fluid controller of the present invention controls the opening/closing and flow rate of a duct. To control the flow rate of a water feed duct, air feed duct, and the like, for example, three pinch valves are disposed in series in a soft duct, and the pushing amount of a pressing portion of the pinch valve is adjusted so that the collapsing amount of soft duct changes. By controlling the opening/closing of the pinch valve by using a control switch disposed in the operation section, the flow rate in the duct can be controlled variably. In this case, three-stage control of flow rate can be carried out. In the case of a suction duct, the pinch valve can be disposed on the atmosphere open duct side. Also, a display section indicating the operation state and flow rate of each of various ducts is provided on a control panel etc. of an electromagnetic valve unit. On the soft duct other than the valve portion, a hard covering member for preventing duct deformation is disposed. Further, separately from the control switch in the operation section, a second control switch having the same function is disposed in an auxiliary peration section on the electromagnetic valve unit side.

摘要: A strip dual mode loop resonator includes a loop-shaped strip line having a pair of straight strip lines arranged in parallel, an electric length of the loop-shaped strip line being equivalent to a wavelength of a microwave circulated in the loop-shaped strip line in two different directions according to a characteristic impedance of the loop-shaped strip line, and the straight strip lines being coupled to each other in electromagnetic coupling to change the characteristic impedance of the loop-shaped strip line. The microwave is transferred from an input strip line to the loop-shaped strip line through electromagnetic field induced by the microwave. Thereafter, the microwave is reflected in the straight strip lines of the loop-shaped strip line to produce reflected microwaves circulated in opposite directions. Thereafter, the reflected waves are resonated and filtered in dual mode in the loop-shaped strip line. Thereafter, the microwave formed of the reflected waves is transferred from the loop-shaped strip line to an output strip line through electromagnetic field induced by the microwave.
