摘要： A method and apparatus for inspecting chips formed as a fine pattern on a surface of an object to be inspected, in which one visual field of an optical observation system is divided into a plurality of areas. A plurality of predetermined good chips are arranged sequentially to each area. Image data of the predetermined good chips are stored at each specific position of the area. In addition, one visual field of the optical observation system is divided into a plurality of areas. When a plurality of good chips are observed in one visual field, coordinates of each good chip are memorized. When good chips in the visual field during learning are recognized, image of the area is obtained as a learned image. Even if the plurality of chips in one visual field of the optical observation system are not entirely nondefective, it can inspect effectively the chips. Further, a problem caused by distortion (distortion aberration) in the optical observation system can be solved.

摘要： An adapter unit for adaptively supplying a portable radio unit with electric power is disclosed. When the portable radio unit being not powered by a rechargeable battery attached thereto or being not in a communication state is connected to the adapter unit, the first power supply circuit of the adapter unit supplies the rechargeable battery or the portable radio unit with power. When the portable radio unit being in the communication state is connected to the adapter unit, the second power supply circuit of the adapter unit supplies the portable radio unit through the rechargeable battery with power. Power supply capacity of the second power supply circuit is larger than that of the first power supply circuit.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for fixing inclined position of stand plates and the like, in which making a stand plate and the like possible to incline in an optional angle in all directions of 360.degree. and the fixing of an inclined position is made easy and tight. A movable plate 8 is interposed and inserted in a gap 9 provided between an upper plate 4 and a lower plate 5 of a stand frame 2. The center of a stand plate 16 is supported by a spherical joint 17 in tilting movement free on a main column 14 provided in standing state on the stand frame 2. A plurality of spiral shafts 19 hanged down from the back face of the stand plate 16 in conical rotation free are thrust into the stand plate 2 and penetrated through rubber bushes 13 fitted to the movable plate 8. A moving and fixing mechanism 22 for the movable plate 8 is provided at one side of the stand frame 2, with which one end of the movable plate 8 is engaged. The stand plate 16 is placed in an optional inclined angle in a desired direction, thereafter the moving and fixing mechanism 22 is used to move the movable plate 8 in a direction perpendicular to the spiral shafts 19, the rubber bushes 13 are pushed and pressed against the spiral shafts 19, and the above-mentioned stand plate 16 is fixed at the inclined position by having the same shafts 19 cut and engaged into the rubber bushes 13.

摘要： A radio telephone apparatus, such as a car telephone, and the method of controlling a radio telephone apparatus, in which the OFF operation of a power source switch caused by an erroneous operation is inhibited when the radio telephone is in a talk mode. In more detail, the ON or OFF state of the power source switch is detected as well as whether or not the apparatus is in the talk mode, so that the switching of a power source line switch to its OFF state by means of the power source switch is inhibited in the talk mode and allowed only in a non-talk mode. Further, an ON/OFF function of a power supply of the apparatus as well as, for example, a muting function which is necessary only in the talk mode and which acts to attenuate a transmission talk voice, are allocated to one of keys in a dial key pad. The ON or OFF state of the allocated function key is detected to perform muting control based on the ON or OFF output of the function key in the talk mode and to perform ON/OFF control of the apparatus power supply in the non-talk mode.

摘要： Telephone apparatus in which a call may be made in response to utterances of a user by speech recognition without manually dialing a telephone number. The telephone apparatus includes a storage device for storing a set of parameters corresponding to an expected speech signal, which are used for recognizing the user's subsequent utterance and/or for indicating differences between the utterance and the stored signal. The telephone apparatus further includes a storage device for storing the speech signal so that the stored speech signal can be reproduced. The reproduced speech signal is used to confirm the stored speech signal. The stored speech signal may be reproduced in response to a user's key operation when the telephone apparatus is in a confirmation mode and in response to a user's utterance when the telephone apparatus is in a registration or voice calling mode.

摘要： A method for handling hyper-text transfer protocol (“HTTP”) requests from client devices is disclosed. The method comprises receiving an HTTP request from a client device to connect to a destination server. It further comprises extracting a plurality of HTTP headers from the HTTP request using a gateway device in accordance with a user defined configuration to create a subset of the request. Next, it comprises forwarding the subset to an external security device from the gateway device to perform URL policy processing using the request. Finally, it comprises based on a received result of the URL policy processing, transmitting the client request to the destination server.
