摘要: Data for a map of a predetermined area is divided into a plurality of blocks, stored in an external memory medium such as a cassette tape, and loaded into a CPU when deemed necessary. The map as a whole or parts of the map can be arbitrarily selected and displayed through the operation of a keyboard, and vocal sight-seeing guidances corresponding to the displayed maps are simultaneously produced. Control of this multiple map system is effected by an electronic device having a microprocessor, and selected maps and necessary words are shown in displayed pictures by a display means, such as a cathode ray tube or the like.

摘要: A drive guide system for guiding a motor vehicle from a start point to a destination point by displaying a travel locus of the motor vehicle on a map is disclosed. A drive route map from the start point to the destination point is divided into a plurality of sections and they are stored in a memory. When a position of the motor vehicle reaches or approaches an outline of the map section displayed on a display screen, the drive route map section on the display screen is switched to the one corresponding to the direction of travel to be followed by the motor vehicle in accordance with a current azimuth of travel of the motor vehicle.

摘要: Maps from a starting point to a destination are automatically, successively renewed and indicated on CRT each time a predetermined distance is covered. The map to be indicated are divided into a plurality of map contents and stored in a memory medium, and further, checkpoints for correcting accumulated errors of the running distance each predetermined distance are stored in the memory medium. Additionally, a notice by voice is given everytime map is renewed, immediately before the renewal.

摘要: A method for the electrolytic tinning of steel strip in an electrolytic bath wherein the steel strip is the cathode and insoluble anodes are used, the electrodes are immersed in an electrolyte solution containing tin ions and wherein the concentration of the tin ions in the bath is controlled by passing the solution exterior of the bath in contact with tin in particulate form, while simultaneously maintaining a high content of dissolved oxygen in the solution. This latter treatment replenishes the tin concentration of the solution and the thus replenished electrolytic solution can be returned to the bath in a manner so as to consistently maintain the tin ion concentration at the desired level.

摘要: A lighting unit can form a plurality of light distribution patterns without use of a shield and without an act of shielding light from a light source. The lighting unit can include a laser diode, a fluorescent member with a fluorescent portion configured to receive blue light from the laser diode and emit white light, and a projector type lens configured to project the white light. The fluorescent member can be rotated around a rotation shaft perpendicular to the optical axis of the projector type lens and shaped such that when the fluorescent member is rotated by a predetermined angle by the driving member and viewed from the projector type lens, a plurality of contours of the fluorescent portion can be changed according to the predetermined angle.

摘要: A die for forming the honeycomb structure includes: a plate-like die main body including an introducing portion provided on the side of one surface thereof and having a plurality of back holes and a forming portion provided on the side of the other surface thereof and having slits; and a back plate detachably attached to the surface of the introducing portion and having a plurality of through holes connected to the back holes of the introducing portion. Through hole opening portions of the through holes formed in the back plate in the one surface of the die main body have such an enlarging shape as to enlarge toward the one surface of the die main body. The die for forming the honeycomb structure can decrease the resistance of a forming material during extrusion.
