The cooling and heating stations (26), (30) cool and heat one row of N preforms (36) while parallel carrying them along a first carrying chain (200). The second delivery section (32) delivers the preforms (36) to two blow molding stations while in their inverted state. Each blow molding station (34) stretch blow molds the N/2 preforms into containers at the same time.

With such an arrangement, more time slots are allocated to the busy input/output processing sections, which can therefore output an increased number of data sheets per unit time for a high speed data reproducing operation to improve the operability of the apparatus.
