A plurality of adhesive puddles 3 are formed in an area which is disposed on a first light-transmissive substrate 1 and which is opposed to an adhesive puddle 4 formed on a second light-transmissive substrate 2. The spacing distance between the first and second light-transmissive substrates 1, 2 is narrowed while allowing the first and second light-transmissive substrates 1, 2 to be opposed to one another, and a space between the both is filled with the adhesive.

    摘要: A method for producing a replica mirror for use in an image-forming apparatus is described. The process includes a step where a mirror base plate including a mirror surface inclined with respect to the scanning axis in the image-forming apparatus is prepared. A reflective film layer is adhered to a master plate via a releasing layer. Then an adhesive material is applied to the reflective film layer. The reflective film layer is adhered to the mirror base plate via the adhesive material by pressing the mirror base plate onto the adhesive material. The reflective film layer is then transferred to the mirror base plate by peeling off the releasing layer from the reflective film layer.

    摘要: An electrode substrate is produced through at least the following steps of: forming a plurality of first electrodes on a light-transmissive substrate while leaving a spacing between the first electrodes, filling a resin in the spacing, curing the filled resin, and forming a plurality of second electrodes on the first electrodes and the resin so as to be in contact with the associated first electrodes, respectively. In the electrode substrate, the first electrodes have a thickness h (nm) and an average surface roughness d (nm) and the resin has a curing shrinkage ratio .alpha. (%). The thickness h, the average surface roughness d and the curing shrinkage ratio a satisfies the following relationship: d.gtoreq..alpha..multidot.h/1000. A liquid crystal device is produced by using the electrode substrate satisfying the above relationship, whereby a ripple-shaped shrinkage due to a shrinkage of the resin can be prevented in an effective optical modulation region to minimize a cell gap unevenness and provide a uniform alignment state to liquid crystal molecules, thus suppressing occurrences of an ununiform optical state, crosstalk and an irregularity in drive characteristics to improve display qualities.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device is constituted by a pair of electrode plates and a liquid crystal composition disposed between the electrode plates. One of the electrode plates comprises a light-transmissive substrate, a plurality of electrodes including principal electrodes and auxiliary electrodes supported on the light-transmissive substrate, a plurality of color filters disposed on the light-transmissive substrate and an insulating layer disposed on the color filters. Each auxiliary electrode is disposed between an associated principal electrode and the light-transmissive substrate so as to be electrically connected with at least a part of the associated principal electrode, and the auxiliary electrodes are disposed with spacings therebetween which are filled with the color filters and the insulating layer. The liquid crystal composition comprises at least one species of a fluorine-containing mesomorphic compound comprising a fluorocarbon terminal portion and a hydrocarbon terminal portion, the terminal portions being connected with a central core, and having smectic mesophase or latent smectic mesophase. The combination of the above specific cell structure and the specific liquid crystal composition is effective in improving display qualities (e.g., brightness and contrast) while minimizing a voltage waveform deformation.

The display main body and the transparent plate are disposed such that the two adhesion surfaces oppose each other via a gap, and the adhesive is injected into the gap. The surface treatment is performed within a width range of 1 mm to 3 mm from the edge regions of the adhesion surfaces.
