The present invention also provides for the hierarchical definition of organizational units within each Enterprise, including the definition of sites, groups within a site, and users within a group. The present invention further provides for a distinct definition of policies, privileges, and other types of specifications for each user level, each user, and each organizational unit. The present invention applies the user and organizational policies, privileges and other specifications as they apply to each particular user to drive the interactive interface with each particular user and to provide among other things, shipping options, shipping services, shipping rates, traveler and/or shipping label preparation, and shipment tracking.

    摘要: A method is disclosed to add functionality to a terminal of a high voltage integrated circuit without the penalty of additional high voltage circuitry. The benefit is that alternative modes of operation can be selected for testing, trimming parameters of the integrated circuit, or any other purpose without the cost of an additional terminal. In one embodiment, ordinary low voltage circuitry monitors the voltage on the terminal that normally is exposed to high voltage. The configuration of a simple voltage detector and an ordinary latch allows easy entry into the test and trimming mode when the integrated circuit is not in the intended application, but prohibits entry into the test and trimming mode when the integrated circuit operates in the intended application.

    摘要: The invention provides modified molecular beacons detectable by surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and related materials, processes, and methods of use. Examples methods provide for the determination of the presence or absence of a target nucleotide sequence in a sample nucleic acid by (a) providing a detection agent, which agent comprises: (i) a probe comprising a target complement sequence (TCS) being complementary to the target sequence and flanking the TCS, first and second oligonucleotide arms, said first and second oligonucleotide arms forming a stem duplex, and said first arm incorporating a first label moiety being detectable by SERS (e.g. a fluoroscein dye) and said second arm terminating in a second label moiety being detectable by SERS, which second arm further includes a surface seeking group (SSG—e.g. an azo-benzotriazole) capable of promoting association of the second label onto an enhancing surface ii) associated with said probe via said SSG, an enhancing surface, such that said first and second label moieties are in close proximity to each other and to the enhancing surface (b) exposing the sample to the detection agent, (c) detecting hybridisation of the TCS to any target sequence present in the sample by a change in the SERS spectra of said agent.

    摘要: A process is provided of providing glyoxylated polymer additives to a paper making process which brings about improvements in drainage properties of a cellulosic pulp material along with the ability to increase the dry strength of a resulting paper product. The process uses concentrated glyoxal to generate a working solution of a glyoxylated polymer additive which can be generated on site in a paper mill and used within a 24 to 48 hour interval. The ability to glyoxylate polymers in a working solution concentration provides for a more active additive and which can be supplied in a more economical fashion than conventional glyoxylated polymers.
