    摘要: A method and an apparatus for reporting a buffer status of a buffer storing packet data to be transmitted by a user equipment for a scheduling assignment of an uplink packet data service in a mobile communication system supporting the uplink packet data service are disclosed. A user equipment stores packet data having a priority corresponding to a plurality of priority queues having inherent priorities and relating to at least one service, and transmits buffer status information containing queue identifiers of the priority queues and buffer payload information representing an amount of the packet data stored in the priority queues. Herein, the user equipment inserts the buffer status information into a header part of a protocol data unit for the uplink packet data service, inserts the packet data into a payload part of the protocol data unit, and then transmits the protocol data unit.

    摘要: Disclosed is multiplexing transmissions of Uplink Control Information (UCI) signals having variable payloads from User Equipments (UEs). The UCI transmission uses a first format type if its size is less than or equal to a predetermined values and it uses a second format type if its size is greater than a predetermined value. When the first format type is used the UE multiplexing is through a first method while when the second format type is used the UE multiplexing is through a second method which is different than the first method. The structure of the second format type is the same as the structure used for the transmission of data information by UEs. The UEs can also be grouped and UCI transmission can be triggered through the reception of control signaling addressing a group of UEs and indicating UCI transmission by a sub-group of UEs in the group of UEs.

The method includes encoding a User Equipment Identifier (UE ID) of a UE that will receive the high-speed packet data, and rate-matching the encoded UE ID to generate a first stream; generating an offset value for cyclic-shifting the first stream, using the UE ID; encoding control information that the UE needs to receive the high-speed packet data, and rate-matching the encoded control information to generate a second stream; cyclic-shifting each of the first stream and the second stream by the offset value; and masking the cyclic-shifted second stream with the cyclic-shifted stream before transmission.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for determining soft handover in a CDMA mobile communication system supporting Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) is provided. In the asynchronous CDMA mobile communication system supporting MBMS, when a UE moves to a region where it can receive data from a plurality of Node Bs, the UE determines whether to perform soft combining using a measurement value of a dedicated pilot channel signal, in performing soft handover. In this way, the UE can determine whether to perform soft combining on MBMS data received from a plurality of Node Bs by itself. Therefore, even though an MBMS user moves from a current or existing cell to a new cell, a stable MBMS service is provided to the user, thereby contributing to the user's convenience.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving downlink data for signal combining at a UE in an OFDM cellular system are provided. A Node B sends combining information to the UE, and combinable cells use the same radio resources and the same scrambling sequence in data transmission to the UE. Therefore, the UE can receive naturally combined data without an additional operation. Also, the UE combines channel estimates calculated using pilot signals received form the cells and compensates the combined data signal using the combined channel estimate.
