Abstract:
An exemplary method for calibrating a current transducer of the Rogowski type including a Rogowski coil sensor and an electronic device is performed by determining and correcting the sensitivity of the current transducer of the Rogowski type through the measurement of the self-inductance LRCCT of the coil using the electronic device.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a magnitude of an electrical parameter in a power system via a high voltage electron tube. The method includes the steps of measuring the magnitude of the electrical parameter; generating a control signal based on the magnitude of the electrical parameter and on a reference magnitude of the electrical parameter; and switching the high voltage electron tube via the control signal such that the reference magnitude of the electrical parameter is essentially obtained. A control arrangement and a power system is also presented.
Abstract:
An exemplary field device connection unit includes a base plate on which a plurality of connection elements for connection of connecting lines with field devices and a plurality of module slots for receiving in each case one plug-in unit of different plug-in unit types. To avoid erroneous configurations, an identical type coding is assigned to the plug-in units of the same plug-in unit type, which identical type coding is formed by a plurality of wedge-shaped code elements which are anchored rigidly in the plug-in unit, and a plurality of wedge-shaped code elements are assigned to each module slot, which wedge-shaped code elements are mounted moveably about a rotary spindle between two opposite stops and whose wedge tips are oriented, in an initial rest position, centrally between the stops.
Abstract:
A device for detecting an islanding condition in an electricity distribution network. The device comprises means for concurrently monitoring an islanding condition and a network event condition in the electricity distribution network, means for detecting an islanding condition in the power system network, and means for determining on the validity of detection of the islanding condition based on whether there is an associated network event with the detected islanding condition.
Abstract:
A layer structure for producing a planar insulation laminate, including the following sequence of planar individual layers arranged one on the other: a B-stage resin, a glass fabric, a core layer made of polyester film, a glass fabric, and a B-stage resin. In the hardened state, an insulation material produced therefrom is suitable, for example, to be used as an insulation barrier between a low-voltage winding and a high-voltage winding of a transformer winding.
Abstract:
An electrical insulator including: a first connector of an electrically conducting material; a second connector of an electrically conducting material; and an electrically insulating material being arranged between the first connector and the second connector, insulating the connectors from each other; wherein a part of the first connector extends past a part of the second connector, partly enveloping part of the second connector. The invention also relates to a surge arrester arrangement, to a use of an electrical insulator for insulating a surge arrester, and to a method for production of such an electrical insulator.
Abstract:
A mounting frame for removeably mounting one or more electrical devices has a base, a mounting bracket and a plurality of platforms for mounting the electrical devices thereon. The mounting bracket has openings for engaging with mounting bolts on a utility pole or other support structure. The mounting frame is balanced and has an eye bolt for elevating the frame to the desired level on the support structure during installation.
Abstract:
It is presented a power converter for converting power between a first high voltage direct current, DC, connection, a second high voltage DC connection and a high voltage alternating current, AC, connection. The power converter comprises: a first phase arrangement comprising a first converter arm, a second converter arm, a third converter arm, a fourth converter arm, a fifth converter arm and a sixth converter arm. The first, second third and fourth converter arms are serially connected in the mentioned order between two terminals of the first high voltage DC connection. The high voltage AC connection is connected between the second converter arm and the third converter arm.
Abstract:
A method for measuring a capacitance using a capacitance meter. The capacitance meter includes an AC power source with a controllable frequency which is fed to a capacitor to measure its capacitance. A first measurement of the capacitance is performed by the capacitance meter using a first frequency. When the first measurement of the capacitance indicates the capacitance is below a threshold capacitance a lower capacitance measurement is performed in the capacitance meter, using a second measurement of the capacitance using a second frequency. When the first measurement of the capacitance indicates the capacitance is above a threshold capacitance, a higher capacitance measurement is performed in the capacitance meter, using a second measurement of the capacitance using a third frequency, the third frequency being lower than the second frequency.
