摘要： The invention relates to a method for a hair colour consultation or a hair colour simulation. According to the inventive method, a selection of a person's (11) desired hair colours (36) is represented on a display screen (14,15) or a touch screen (22,23), by means of a video camera (12), a computer (13) and at least one display screen or touch screen. Actual individual images (21) of the person (11) are continuously recorded by means of the video camera (12) and are transmitted into the computer (13) in real time, in a continuous image sequence. Automatic image editing and image processing is carried out for each individual image (21) by means of a device (31) wherein the computer identifies (13) the person's (11) hair region (32), changes the hair colour (33) of said hair region (32) according to pre-determined specifications, and the modified individual images (21) are represented in real time again on at least one display screen (14, 15) and/or touch screen (22,23).

摘要： A skin color measuring device is provided for use with a kit and method to measure skin shades at point-of-sale. The device includes a hand holdable housing encompassing a spectrophotometer/colorimeter, a logic program for calculating L, a, b values measured by the spectrophotometer/colorimeter and for converting these values into corresponding shades of facial foundation cosmetic products suitable for the measured customer, and a display window formed in the wall of the housing allowing visualization of the logic selected facial foundation products. Kits in the form of a display case are provided which include the skin measuring device and an inventory of different facial foundation products as well as a reader card set for correlating the selected facial foundation products with complementary color cosmetics such as lipsticks, eye shadows, eye liners, blush and lip liners. Also disclosed is a method for evaluating the most suitable facial foundation for a customer and referencing a complementary other color cosmetic product with appropriate shade.

摘要： A test kit and method for visualizing fine lines and wrinkles is provided, the kit including a transparent strip with an adhesive on one surface thereof and an imaging substrate with at least one darkened glossy area for receiving the transparent strip. Written instructions are provided in the kit. These advise a consumer to place the adhesive surface of the strip against a skin area requiring measurement. Thereafter the strip is removed and placed against the darkened area of the substrate. Topographical features of the skin can be viewed through the transparent strip with the transferred skin image onto the blackened background. A cosmetic anti-aging product can be applied to the skin over a period of time. Beneficial changes caused by the product are visualized through the test strip as periodic measurements are taken.
