    摘要： A rug accessory provides an adornment for rugs and carpet. At least one downwardly directed receiver at least assists in connecting the accessory to a rug or the like. A connector may assist in retaining the receiver to the rug. The connector preferably has a portion located below a lower surface of the rug when connected. The accessory may also provide sides when extend along edges of the rug, and in some cases even down to below the bottom surface of the rug. Corners may be provided for some embodiments. Still other embodiments have cutouts in the accessory to allow portions of the upper surface of the rug to be viewed therethrough.

    摘要： A mat fastener has male and female grommets made of resin material. The female grommet includes an outer tube portion to be inserted into a hole in a mat; and a concave flange at the outer periphery of one end of the outer tube portion. The male grommet includes an inner tube portion to be inserted into the outer tube portion; and a concave flange at the outer periphery of one end of the inner tube portion. The tube portions are coupled to each other with the flanges of the grommets contacting opposite side surfaces of the mat around the mat hole, so that the mat is sandwiched between concavities of the flanges.

    摘要： The present perforated floor mat holder is for securing perforated rubber floor mats on a wet and slippery floor. It is comprised of an elongated strip with studs arranged at regular intervals that match the spacing of the holes on the floor mat. The strip is fastened to a floor with screws inserted through mounting holes arranged along the strip. The floor mat is positioned on the strip with the hole around the studs. The stress applied to the rims of the holes by the studs are spread among a relatively large number of holes, so that the rims resist being torn by the studs. Transverse grooves arranged several studs apart on the strip enable the strip to be broken into shorter sections of a predetermined minimum length. In a first embodiment, one mounting hole is arranged between each pair of adjacent studs.

    摘要： A fabric fastener adapted for fastening a fabric to a framework, or a workpiece to a fabric covered framework, comprises a head and shank, and a sharp edged tip section. The tip section has an unthreaded angle side which intersects a threaded side to form the sharp edge. Preferably two prongs with a space therebetween and sharp edges facing the space are formed at the end of the tip. The sharp edges, particularly of the prongs, serve to engage and cut through the threads of a fabric so that the fastener does not become entangled in the fabric, thereby minimizing damage to the fabric and also minimizing cross-threading with a framework aperture into which the fabric fastener is fastened.

    摘要： A retainer clip to fixedly position a mat relative to an underlying carpet particularly suited to automotive environments. The retainer clip is formed from a single piece of generally rectangularly shaped resilient material which has a cut-out cut in a first portion thereof, the cut-out including a series of V-cuts at one end and a control member at the other end. The retainer clip further has two pointed members cut along each edge of a second portion thereof. The retainer clip is then stamped so that the end thereof adjacent the V-cuts is bent thereby causing the V-cuts to erupt as teeth, and the two pointed members are bent so as to be laterally displaced, thereby forming two prongs. The retainer clip is then bent on itself to form a U-shape. In operation, the two prongs are caused to enter the carpet backing in order to anchor the retainer clip thereto. An edge of the floormat is then inserted into an opening in the U-shaped configuration of the retainer clip, the teeth bearing against the floormat to hold it in place relative to the carpet.
