    摘要: A method and apparatus for the separation of particles from a flow of gas, where both large, heavy and small, light particles can be separated off from the gas by means of the combined effect of an electrostatic attraction force and a centrifugal force in a centrifugal separator (10) of the type that comprises a rotor (14) that has a plurality of adjacent surface elements (16) with intermediate gas flow gaps (48) and that is mounted in such a way that it can rotate in a surrounding casing (12), which casing has an inlet (18) for unclean gas and an outlet (22) for clean gas and an outlet (24) for separated-of f particles. A charging unit (44) ionizes the particles upstream of the rotor (14). An electrical field is generated between adjacent surface elements (16) of the rotor in order to attract the ionized light particles towards a face of the surface elements by means of the electrostatic force. By means of the centrifugal force created by the rotor, the particles that have accumulated on the surface elements are thrown towards the inside of the casing and are led out through the outlet.

It comprises a tube (46), a first bearing (16) and a second bearing (18), the first and second bearings being placed in an oil chamber (20) in which an oil fog is maintained by rotation of the bearings. A deoiler (30) is provided in one wall of the oil chamber. The deoiler centrifuges oil in suspension in air and allows a deoiled air flow to pass inside the tube. The tube (46) comprises a closing cap (48) fitted with one or several outlet orifices (50) in its upper part designed to evacuate air, and an oil drain orifice (52) in its lower part.

    摘要: A device for separating and collecting particulates from an air stream is provided. The device comprises a separation chamber housing a plurality of particulate separators. Each particulate separator in the plurality of particulate separators includes an intake port, a mechanical separation unit, a discharge port, and an outlet port. An air stream enters the particulate separator through the intake port. The mechanical separation unit is capable of separating particulates from the air stream and discharging the separated particulates through the discharge port. Clean air is expelled through the outlet ports of the plurality of particulate separators. The device further comprises an air stream entrance port capable of receiving the air stream, an air stream exit port capable of receiving the clean air, and a particulate reservoir capable of collecting discharged particulates.

    摘要: A motor-driven blower, particularly suited for carpet cleaners and other wet vacuuming appliances, includes a rotating separator cup to impede water droplets and foam from being drawn into the blower. The separator cup is removably connected to a spider bracket that is mounted more permanently to one end of the motor shaft. Since the separator cup is not directly connected to the motor shaft, the cup can be removed without disturbing the rest of the blower. Thus, the blower can be run either with or without the separator cup. Moreover, by not attaching the separator cup directly to the motor shaft, the shaft can be made shorter to minimize vibration and noise at high rpm's.

A mixture of gas and particles is charged well dispersed to a classifier inlet zone (3) from which the mixture is brought into contact with a rotor (6) in a first separation zone (5) having the form of a free rotor chamber. Gas and fine particles are allowed to escape through an upper outlet (9) while the coarse fraction of the particles is forced to pass through a second separation zone and subsequently to leave through a lower outlet (15). Vertically below the first separation zone (5) a second separation zone having the form of an annular chamber (11) is arranged, radially outwards delimited by stationary vanes (12) that are interspaced circumferentially around the rotor, the distance between the rotor periphery and said stationary vanes being less than the distance between the rotor periphery and the wall (7) of the classifier's first separation zone (5).
