摘要: A shock absorbing structure for a vehicle including a top wall to which a shock is to be applied and two side walls integrally formed with the top wall and extending from the top wall such that the side walls are opposed to each other, thereby forming an angular U-shaped cross section. The side walls have a waveform in which convex portions and concave portions are alternately and continuously provided. In addition, a bottom plate is integrally formed with an end portion of the respective side walls. The shock absorbing structure further includes a first window portion that is formed over a portion of the each side wall including a part of a bottom portion and parts of opposite side portions of the concave portions and a portion of the bottom plate that is connected to the bottom portion and that is positioned between the opposite side portions.

摘要: Enhanced vehicle handling is achieved by the improved suspension systems constructed in accordance with aspects of the present invention, in which not only do the roll couple and jacking couple oppose each other, thereby causing the body roll to counteract the jacking effect, but also the pitch couple and the pitching couple oppose each other, thereby causing the body pitch to counteract the pitching effect. This results in the improvement of the cornering traction of the vehicle, the braking traction of the vehicle, the acceleration traction of the vehicle (especially in a front-wheel-drive vehicle), the simultaneous cornering and braking traction of the vehicle, and the simultaneous cornering and acceleration traction of the vehicle.

摘要: A bumper for a vehicle is disclosed. The bumper includes a housing that has a pair of interlocking supporting frames. One of the supporting frames is fixed to the vehicle body. The bumper includes a plurality of rebounding elements and a plurality of biasing elements, each that are fixed within one of the supporting frames of the housing. Each of the rebounding elements has a predetermined rebounding elements spring coefficient. The plurality of biasing elements has a biasing elements spring coefficient that is not equal to, and is preferably less than, the spring coefficient of each rebounding element. Further, each of the biasing elements abuts one of the rebounding elements. As such, as the interlocking supporting frames of the housing are compressed in a vehicle collision, the plurality of rebounding elements together with the plurality of biasing elements absorb the collision energy and are each compressed at different rates.

摘要: A motor vehicle bumper that has enhanced energy absorption characteristics and that includes one or more unique geometry configurations that extend “softer” energy absorbing surfaces forward in the system while nesting more “rigid” energy absorbing surfaces more rearward only to come into effect when higher energy impacts are observed. The dual energy absorption may be achieved using a number of configurations and/or methods or a combination of several. In one or more embodiments, the wall thickness of the material used in the component or components may be varied, materials having different stiffness properties may be used, and/or geometries of different depth and section stiffness may be alternated across the bumper system.

The wall thicknesses of the section wall end lengths are greater than the wall thickness of the section wall lengths neighbouring the section wall end lengths, with the result that a thickening of the section wall is provided in the corner region.

摘要: The SLIDING SAFETY BUMPER consists of two (2) U shaped steel channels that contain steel springs, each enclosed in a triple sliding sleeve, a synthetic rubber cushion bonded to one (1) of the U shaped channels. The other U shaped steel channel attaches the bumper to the frame of the vehicle. The bumper also contains a hydraulic system that transmits impact force to a master cylinder in severe impacts. The space between the channels is covered with an accordian folding plastic. The SLIDING SAFETY BUMPER is attached to both the front and rear of the vehicle. OPTIONAL For additional protection a two (2) inch layer of shock absorbing plastic can be applied to the inside of the vehicle.
