Abstract: Proposed are a shock absorption structure and a shock absorption system using same, in which the shock absorption structure includes a body which is installed on a vehicle, a ship, and a road facility is filled with air inside, and can absorb shock occurring due to collision of a damaging object to absorb at least a predetermined level of impact force regardless of a direction in which the collision is applied and minimize damages due to accidents that may occur successively, wherein a plurality of fiber threads is provided inside the body, with air filled therein, such that when the damaging object applies at least a predetermined level of impact to one point of the body, fiber threads connected to portions adjacent to the one point break, and the body absorbs shock as the portions adjacent to the one point of the body wrap around the damaging object.

Abstract: Disclosed are a compound impact-resistant device and an application thereof. The compound impact-resistant device includes an inner cylinder, a first pressure sensor and an outer cylinder; an inner cavity of the inner cylinder is connected to a magnetorheological damper, a spiral valve element, a floating piston and a spring from bottom to top; and the outer cylinder is connected to a piston rod, a bottom end of the piston rod penetrates a top of the inner cylinder, the spring and the floating piston to be connected to the spiral valve element, and a portion below the spiral valve element is filled with hydraulic oil. The compound impact-resistant device can provide specific initial support force and achieve active self-adaptation to dynamic impact, thus solving the problems that traditional hydraulic buffers cannot provide initial support force and traditional mechanical crushing members have difficulty in providing large support force.

Abstract: A shock absorber includes a bottom rim, a top wall comprising a raised central portion and a top rim, a side wall extending between the top and bottom rims, and a corrugation surrounding a periphery of the raised central portion that (i) connects the raised central portion to the top rim, (ii) descends to a depth below half a height of the side wall, and (iii) is separated by a distance from a surface. Impact forces imparted on the shock absorber are attenuated by a first amount in a first stage by resistive yielding of the side wall; by a second amount in a second stage by depression of the central portion and resistive yielding of the corrugation associated therewith; and by a third amount in a third stage by resistive yielding of the corrugation in response to a force applied to the top rim upon contact with the surface.

Abstract: A damping connecting rod that can be converted into a rigid connecting rod in the case of abnormal vibrations. Abstract: A deformable structure, such as a panel or a shock absorber, for absorbing energy from a mechanical and/or acoustic impact. The structure comprises an inner core and one or more external layers covering the inner core. The inner core comprises a set of first segments having a positive Poison's ratio and second segments having a negative Poisson's ratio. The first and second segments are arranged alternately and joined to one another so that the deformation received by one first segment is transmitted to an adjacent second segment and vice versa.
