摘要: A system is for monitoring subsea parameters and is deployable in a water column. The system has: a tether to be moored to a seabed; a variable buoyancy member; one or more sensor units for sensing one or more subsea parameters; and a control unit. The control unit has a communication member for receiving data from the sensor unit(s) and for transmitting the data wirelessly to a remote recipient. The variable buoyancy member is adapted to move the communication member between a submerged position and a surface position for the wireless transmittal of data. The control unit is adapted to control the buoyancy of the variable buoyancy member. A non-variable buoyancy member is connected at an upper portion of the tether. The submerged position of the communication member is below the position of the non-variable buoyancy member. A method is for monitoring subsea parameters.

A buoy apparatus for use underwater, comprises a buoy securely connected to a first end of a rope; a spool structure securely connected to a second end of the rope; a retractable head for engaging the spool structure; and a spool control device for actuating retraction of the retractable head, wherein in response to an instruction from the spool control device, the retractable head disengages the spool structure, and the spool structure releases the rope when the buoy raises toward a surface of water.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed having a sensor configured to measure a biological parameter of a diver and transmit a sensor signal. A controller is configured to determine that the biological parameter value correlated to the sensor signal is anomalous and responsively issue a rescue deployment signal to a buoyancy valve assembly. The buoyancy valve assembly has an inlet port connectable to a source of pressurized gas and an outlet port connectable to a buoyancy control bladder. The buoyancy valve assembly configured to receive the rescue deployment signal and responsively supply pressurized gas from the inlet port to the outlet port and buoyancy bladder, whereby the diver may ascend the water surface, even if disabled.
