摘要: A process for assembling wave-cut trash bags for overlapping dispensing includes the steps of providing a flattened blown-film polymeric tube; providing sets of closely spaced, parallel seals extending across the entire width of the flattened blown-film polymeric tube at periodic intervals there along; providing a transversely extending line of perforations between the seals comprising each set of closely spaced, parallel seals; and providing a wave shaped line of perforations extending transversely across the entire width of the flattened blown-film polymeric tube at a location equidistance between adjacent closely spaced, parallel sets of seals. The flattened blown-film polymeric tube is separated along each transversely extending line of perforations and along each wave shaped line of perforations after which the leading end of each following trash bag is positioned in an overlapping relationship with the trailing end of the preceding trash bag to facilitate overlapping dispensing.

摘要: In a sheet delivery apparatus of a sheet folding machine for a rotary printing press, a cutter mechanism cuts a continuous paper web traveling along a paper web path into sheets. A first conveyor, disposed downstream of the cutter mechanism, conveys the sheets successively with spaces therebetween. A second conveyor, disposed adjacent to and downstream of the first conveyor and having a carrying surface lower in level than the carrying surface of the first conveyor, receives the sheets transferred successively from the first conveyor, and conveys the sheets at a conveying speed lower than that of the first conveyor after arranging the sheets in a scale-like train. A pushing down device, disposed adjacent to an upstream end of the second conveyor, pushes downward against the second conveyor a trailing end portion of the individual sheet being transferred from the first conveyor to the second conveyor. A paper pressing device guides a leading end of the succeeding sheet transferred from the first conveyor to the second conveyor, and presses the leading end of the succeeding sheet downward; i.e., toward the second conveyor.

摘要: A method and apparatus for the stacking of paper engages the oncoming sheets at their rear ends between clamping elements on upper and lower belts and is so provided that the rear ends are deflected perpendicular to the direction of feed so that the oncoming sheets can effectively shingle over underlying sheets. The clamping portions are engaged at the feeding speed of the sheets at the moment of initial contact, are then slowed down to reduce the speed of the sheets, then release the sheets and then return to the usual speed for the pickup of the next sheet.

摘要: In a paper dodging device having a pair of upper and lower high-speed belts for feeding paper onto a low-speed paper, the delivery side of the upper high-speed belt is overlapped above the inlet side of the low-speed belt, and a snubber is disposed above the inlet side of the low-speed belt, the snubber having an outer diameter gradually increasing towards the rear side with respect to the rotational direction of the snubber and having paper dropping portions formed at the outer peripheral end of increasing diameter for peeling the rear end of paper from the upper high-speed belt. When paper is fed from the high-speed belts onto the low-speed belt, the paper is dropped by the outer peripheral surface of increasing diameter of the rotating snubber, and the rear end of paper is peeled by the paper dropping portion and correctly dropped onto the low-speed belt, thereby preventing contact between foregoing paper and following paper and thus preventing generation of flaws or paper jamming.

摘要: An improved signature delivery apparatus includes a mechanism for diverting signatures into a first series serially arranged dual conveyors or a second series of serially arranged conveyors. Each of the series of serially arranged conveyors are substantially identical in construction. The first series includes an assembly of opposed conveyor belts which engage the leading edge of each signature and reduces the speed of the signatures. Subsequently, the signature passes into an adjacent series of opposed conveyor belts where the signature is overlapped with the next succeeding signature and the speed of the signatures is reduced further. Two stage speed reduction of signature movement with stacking or overlapping of the signatures at the second stage permits significantly increased speed of press operation.

摘要: An apparatus for diverting and delivering sheets in which the sheets are positively controlled throughout the entire operation. Initially, a continuous web of paper passes between opposing cylinders comprising a rotary cutter. The lead edge of the web is then engaged by a pair of opposed nip rollers. Once held by these nip rollers, the rotary knife cuts a separate sheet from the front of the continuous web. The separate sheet then passes between and is accelerated by the nip rollers whereupon a dual set of diverting cams, in combination with a pair of conveyors, directs the sheet to one of two delivery systems. The next subsequent sheet is directed to the other delivery system so that each successive sheet is alternately diverted between the two delivery systems. Upon exiting either delivery system, the sheet is subjected to a snubbing means which decelerates the sheet and further allows the next subsequent sheet to overlap the previous sheet before being similarly decelerated. The shingled sheets are then transmitted by conveyor to a subsequent processing operation.

摘要: A system for counting and stacking a continuous stream of shingled or overlapping sheets in which the shingled sheets are transported by a first conveyor and fed into an optical counting means for individually counting the sheets. From the optical counting means, the sheets are fed into a second conveyor which imparts a concave transverse bow to the sheets thereby providing rigidity to the sheets. The sheets exit the second conveyor and are collected by a recovery means for stacking. The second conveyor further includes an insertion means activated by the optical counter for separating the stream of sheets. The action of the insertion means separates the stream of sheets so that a predetermined number of sheets are collected and stacked by the receiving means while the insertion means temporarily supports the continuing stream of sheets. After removal of the completed stack of sheets, the insertion means retracts to its original position thereby transferring the newly forming stack of sheets to the receiving means without interrupting the continuous stream of sheets.
