摘要: Two supply streams (1.1 and 1.2) of printed products are combined to form a combined printed-product stream. For this purpose, the supply streams are conveyed into a combining region (V) in a main conveying direction (F) in a state in which they, for example, rest loosely on conveying surfaces (3.1 and 3.2), are parallel to one another, adjacent to one another and on the same level, inner and outer edges of the printed products (P) of the two supply streams (1.1 and 1.2) being oriented parallel to the main conveying direction (F). At the entrance to the combining region (V), the inner edge region of each printed product of the first supply stream (1.1) is raised and, as they are conveyed through the combining region (V), the printed products of the two supply streams (1.1 and 1.2) are pushed transversely to the main conveying direction (F) and towards one another. An inner edge region of a printed product of the second supply stream (1.2) is, thus, respectively pushed beneath the raised inner edge region of the printed product of the first supply stream (1.1), in which case these supply streams end up located one upon the other, and are conveyed away in this state.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a printing device comprising a sheet buffer including a paper path having a plurality of nip pairs for selectively receiving and releasing a plurality of printer sheets. The plurality of nip pairs include a fixed load nip pair, a fixed unload nip pair, and at least another intermediate fixed nip pair therebetween. In a first operation each subsequent sheet of the plurality of sheets is shingled over a previous sheet wherein the plurality of sheets can be stopped in the intermediate nip pair or pairs. Individual sheets of the plurality of sheets can be advanced to the unload nip pair sequentially in a second operation whereupon the individual sheets are successively unloaded as needed in a first in first out order.

摘要: Devices are known for crosscutting webs of paper or cardboard, which include a crosscutting device having two blade drums, which are provided with cross blades. Arranged behind the crosscutting device is a sheet transport device, which includes a braking device having a brake roller. To avoid markings on sheets of delicate paper or cardboard types, the brake roller of the present invention is comprised of a cylindrical base body, on which, at a peripheral distance from one another, radially extending ribs made of a elastic material are mounted, which terminate in a cylindrical enveloping surface, which is coaxial in relation to the base body.

摘要: A shingling apparatus for sheets of paper or paperboard includes a pair of independently operable vacuum plenums in a gap between an in-feed conveyor and a reduced speed shingling conveyor. One of the vacuum plenums decelerates an incoming sheet to shingling conveyor speed while the second vacuum plenum captures and pulls down the tail of the sheet to allow the faster moving following sheet to override the tail. This dual vacuum action enhances sheet control, requires very little vertical displacement of the sheets at the vacuum plenums, and enhances the squareness of the shingle that is formed. The system may also include a downstream shingle separator including a translating connection that assists in pulling the necessary gap between downstream shingle portion being directed into a stacker and an upstream shingle portion that is accumulated until the downstream shingle portion is stacked and discharged.

摘要: A process for assembling wave-cut trash bags for overlapping dispensing includes the steps of providing a flattened blown-film polymeric tube; providing sets of closely spaced, parallel seals extending across the entire width of the flattened blown-film polymeric tube at periodic intervals there along; providing a transversely extending line of perforations between the seals comprising each set of closely spaced, parallel seals; and providing a wave shaped line of perforations extending transversely across the entire width of the flattened blown-film polymeric tube at a location equidistance between adjacent closely spaced, parallel sets of seals. The flattened blown-film polymeric tube is separated along each transversely extending line of perforations and along each wave shaped line of perforations after which the leading end of each following trash bag is positioned in an overlapping relationship with the trailing end of the preceding trash bag to facilitate overlapping dispensing.

摘要: A transporting system and method for use in a high velocity document processing system using lower velocity print technology. The invention including an upstream transport conveying spaced apart documents at a first transport velocity. A deceleration transport decelerates documents from the high speed to a lower print velocity before passing the documents a print transport. A sensor located at the deceleration transport, detects the presence of documents at the deceleration transport, and triggers the deceleration profile to be performed on the document. The deceleration transport is controlled such that a leading portion of a document that is being decelerated overtakes a trailing portion of a downstream document that already traveling at the lower print velocity in the control of the print transport. An overlapping arrangement urges the lead portion of the upstream document to overlap on top of the trailing portion of the downstream document when the upstream document overtakes the downstream document. A print head prints on the transported documents at the print transport velocity.
