Abstract:
An apparatus for automatically opening a swinging restroom door is provided. The apparatus comprises an actuator, a control unit, and a power assisted drive mechanism that can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism. The actuator comprises a proximity sensor and further comprises a series of iconic symbols corresponding to predetermined proximity zones. The control unit is in electronic communication with the actuator with which signals are exchanged. The power assisted drive mechanism is in electronic communication with the control unit and can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism wherein the actions of the door closing mechanism are reversed and the door is opened.

Abstract:
A controller has a plurality of control units that are mutually connected by a communication line and are set at different places of an automobile, each corresponding to a different one of its power windows and serving to control its opening and closing. One of these control units is adapted to transmit a signal, in response to a switch operation, to another of the control units through the communication line to open or close the window corresponding to the latter control unit. When this control unit detects that it has submerged in water, it applies a constant voltage to an interface of the communication line. This prevents communications through the communication line and windows from moving in an unwanted manner.
Abstract:
A system for einergency opening of vehicle doors, especially to open from inside the door(s) blocked or jammed during a traffic accident, consisting of pneumatic servomotor or servomotors (1) as the door-opening executing element. The servomotor (1) supplied from pyrotechnical charge/cartridge (2) or pyrotechnical charges or cartridges (2) and (3), through the firing unit (8) controlled by a set of sensors (5), (6), and (7), of the first firing stage or by pressure sensor (9) of the second stage of firing, whereas the servomotor emptying is executed by an electrovalve (10).
Abstract:
A hydraulic swinging-leaf door drive for swinging doors includes an actuating piston, which acts on a drive shaft. A hydraulic pump acts on the actuating piston by way of a hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic circuit is designed as a closed circuit.
Abstract:
A device for automatically controlling a slide door for a vehicle, wherein the slide door is adapted to open and close along a guide track installed in a vehicle body, the device having a door drive device, a motor load detection device, a door position detection device adapted to detect a position of the slide door guided by the guide track within a range from a position where the slide door is fully opened to a position where the slide door is fully closed, a door speed detection device, a memory device adapted to store the motor load at each position of the slide door of the vehicle standing at a horizontal level, and a motor control device adapted to automatically control power supplied to the motor for moving the slide door based on a difference between a detected motor load and a stored motor load at a corresponding position
Abstract:
An opening flap comprises a frame and a flap articulated thereto. A lift arm is provided, which is articulated by a principal energy accumulator. A secondary energy accumulator is articulated between the lift arm and the flap. The principal energy accumulator delivers the opening motion of the flap into a position before the dead center thereof. The secondary energy accumulator, which is distinctly weaker, delivers the subsequent opening motion.
Abstract:
In a submergence-detecting power-window apparatus, with a submergence-detecting circuit put in an inoperative state, a control unit turns on one of multiple control switches corresponding to the operation carried out on the window-opening-and-closing switch, a switch control unit applies a control voltage to a motor-driving unit through the turned-on control switch to drive the window-opening-and-closing motor in order to open or close the window; and with the submergence-detecting circuit put in an operative state by the car's submergence, a turned-on state of any one of the control switches is made ineffective and an operation carried out on the submergence-time window-opening switch causes a control voltage to be supplied to the motor-driving unit in order to open the window.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hinge for a vehicle lid, the hinge comprising a main biasing means operable to urge the hinge into an open position, and a mechanism for assisting the initial opening of the hinge from a closed position, the mechanism comprising a rotary cam engagable with another portion of the hinge to provide said assistance, and further biasing means which acts on the cam to rotate it relative to said other portion of the hinge. Also disclosed is a lifting aid comprising a main biasing means for attachment between a lid and a body, which lid is pivotally moveable towards and away from the body, the main biasing means being operable to urge the lid from a closed position relative to the body to an open position, the lifting aid further comprising cam means attachable to the body for relative rotation thereto and further biasing means for attachment between the body and the cam means and operable to rotate the cam means relative to the body and lid, the cam means being operable to assist the initial opening of the lid.
Abstract:
An apparatus for driving a motor that opens and closes the window of vehicle, for example, is so adapted that when the vehicle becomes submersed in the sea, a lake or a river, etc., the window is prevented from being closed owing to malfunctioning of a relay caused when a leakage current flows into an operating switch for opening and closing the window. When submersion is sensed and it is sensed that the motor is being rotated by a malfunction in a direction that closes the window, a relay for rotating the motor in the forward direction is actuated. This prevents the occurrence of a situation in which the motor is caused to rotate (especially in the direction that closes the window) regardless of the fact that the operating switch has not been operated.
