摘要: Luminaires are disclosed that include refractive and/or reflective structures that can provide or distribute lighting for a given area with high uniformity and efficiency. The structures can be used to distribute light from one or more light sources for lighting target areas with a desired light distribution. The lighting structures can be included in light strips or luminaires. Such luminaire can be utilized in place of fluorescent lights and can facilitate quick and easy retrofit for previous fluorescent lighting applications. The disclosed techniques and systems (including components and structures) can be particularly useful when employing one or more LEDs as light sources.

摘要: A light fixture with coextruded components is disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention provide a solid-state light fixture suitable for use in commercial environments. A light fixture according to example embodiments of the invention includes an LED light source and a coextruded optical assembly. In some embodiments, the reflector portion of the assembly includes a thin skin of reflective material. In some embodiments, the assembly includes an interlocking mechanical interface between the reflector and lens portions of the assembly. In some embodiments, the lens portion of the assembly includes two lens plates. In some embodiments, a longer fixture can be assembled by using two, coextruded portions of an optical assembly, where these portions are adapted to be joined end-to-end. Reinforcing members can be used in the reflector and lens assembly.

摘要: A luminaire includes an electrical base, an optic, and a heat sink disposed between the base and the optic. The lens has a first curved portion, a second curved portion and a third portion. An LED light source is coupled to the heat sink with LED modules arranged to direct light in the same direction. A frustoconical member having a reflective outer surface is disposed between the lens and the LED light source wherein the LED light source has LED modules disposed to emit at least a portion of light toward the reflective outer surface such that light is emitted with a substantially even luminous intensity in a 0°-135° zone.

摘要: A bulb is adapted to fit over and around a light-emitting diode emitting a light of a first hue in a generally Lambertian radiation pattern. The bulb has a generally spherical shape and a substantially circular external cross-sectional geometry, and further defines an inner cavity with a substantially circular cross-sectional geometry for housing the light-emitting diode. The bulb is composed of a light-transmitting material and a light color-converting material, with the light color-converting material converting the light of the first hue into a light of a desired hue, which is then viewed along an external surface of said bulb.
