    摘要: The present invention is a connector which connects a first control line in a downhole well tool to a second control line. The connector may include a main body having a longitudinal bore therethrough, a tubular extension threadably secured within a mounting bore in the well tool, and a metal seal ring disposed between a shoulder on the tubular extension of the main body and having an outer conical surface engaged with a conical surface of the mounting bore. The connector may also include a sealing sleeve having a longitudinal bore including a first conical surface adjacent a first end of the sealing sleeve and a second conical surface adjacent a second end of the sealing sleeve; a first ferrule, a second ferrule, and a third ferrule, each being an annular member having an outer conical surface and disposed within the longitudinal bore of the main body. The first ferrule is disposed about the second control line, the outer conical surface of the first ferrule is engaged with the first conical surface on the sealing sleeve; the second ferrule is disposed about the first control line, the outer conical surface of the second ferrule is engaged with the second conical surface on the sealing sleeve; and the third ferrule is disposed about the first control line, the outer conical surface of the third ferrule is engaged with a first conical bore in the main body. A tubular spacer member can be disposed about the first control line and between the second and third ferrules. The connector can further comprise a retaining fitting having a longitudinal bore therethrough and threadably secured within the longitudinal bore of the retaining fitting and the longitudinal bore on the sealing sleeve.

    摘要: A cultivator component part clamping assembly for removably attaching a component part to an implement crossbar having a plurality of faces. The clamping assembly includes a generally C-shaped brace having a throat, a first leg and a second leg attached to and extending from the throat for placement about the implement crossbar. The clamping assembly includes a first keeper and a second keeper each attached near the distal end of the first leg and the second leg respectively for retaining a member of the clamping assembly near the distal ends of the first and second legs and opposite a face of the implement crossbar. The clamping assembly also includes an retaining member attached to the C-brace including an inclined face opposing the implement crossbar and a wedge pin removably insertable between the inclined face of the retaining member and the face of the implement crossbar. The clamping assembly may also include a removably insertable tool shank attached to a tool. The assembly may also be used to attach additional crossbars to the cultivator assembly in sequence or alternately for attaching a hitch plate to the crossbar. The assembly may be adapted to a crossbar having a rotated orientation, presenting a diamond cross-sectional configuration.

    摘要: A reinforced fastening point for a plastics-material casing. In order to provide a reinforcement for a fastening point which is simple to assemble and which is held automatically in the opening in the casing without further fasteners, a cylindrical opening is provided at the fastening point on the casing. The reinforcement part corresponding thereto is constructed as a frustum in that region which in the assembled state comes to rest in the region of the cylindrical opening. The smaller external diameter of this frustum is smaller than or equal to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. The larger external diameter of the frustum, on the other hand, has an excess dimension with respect to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. In this case, the excess dimension is selected to be such that it can be neutralized by resilient deformation of the reinforcement part.

    摘要: A compressive strut for cryogenic applications includes a tube with a cylindrical bore wall defining an internal cavity, a rod of filling material within the cavity which has low thermal conductivity, and structure in engagement with the rod, such as end plugs partially inserted into the ends of the tube and in contact with the rod. The tube may be formed of a composite material such as fiberglass within a matrix of epoxy, wherein the fiberglass fibers are wound circumferentially. The plug at one end of the strut is attached to the warm support structure and the plug at the other end is attached to the cold structure, such as a superconducting magnet which is maintained at cryogenic temperatures. Compressive pressure applied by the magnet to the strut causes the plugs to press inwardly on the filling material rod, expanding the rod radially. The circumferentially strong tube resists outward expansion of the rod and carries a significant portion of the compressive pressure applied to the rod so that the rod itself does not have to support the compressive forces applied to it. Consequently, the rod can be formed of a relatively low thermal conductivity material which need not have high strength, and the tube need only have high strength in the circumferential direction.

    摘要: A bush is disclosed particularly for flexibly mounting an axle assembly on the chassis of a vehicle. An elastic bush is inserted in a sleeve mounted on the axle assembly. The elastic bush as a tapered bore. A pin with a tapered outer face is inserted in the tapered bore and expands the elastic bush into frictional engagement with the sleeve. The sleeve and elastic bush are located between mounting plates mounted on the chassis. The pin is fixed to at least one of the mounting plates by means of a bolt which passes through a hole in the mounting plate so that any movement between the axle assembly and the chassis is taken up by flexure of the elastic bush. The axis of the bolt is offset from the axis of the tapered face of the pin so that the pin can be brought into alignment with the hole in the mounting plate by rotating the pin in the bore of the elastic bush.
