摘要: An actuator has a housing (14), a pyrotechnic charge (17) and a piston (11) which transitions into a pin (12) which in the initial state projects out of the housing (14) and upon ignition of the pyrotechnic charge (17) is retracted at least partially into the housing (14). According to the invention, the piston-pin combination consists of a main body (10) which is made of plastic and has a reinforcing element (13) in the region of the pin (12). The reinforcing element (13) has the shape of a sleeve or tube and surrounds the pin (12). It is form-fittingly connected to the pin (12), for example by the sleeve-like or tubular reinforcing element (13) having a shape (22) for reducing the inner cross-section.

摘要: Disclosed are lock mechanisms for latch assemblies of vehicle compartment hoods, methods for making or using such lock mechanisms, and motor vehicles equipped with a multi-pull latch and lock system for releasably locking a hood assembly. A lock mechanism includes a gear that couples a closure latch to a latch release mechanism. The gear moves between a latched position, whereat the closure latch secures the closure in a closed position, and an unlatched position, whereat the gear transfers activation forces from the release mechanism to disengage the closure latch from the closure. A pawl is movable between a locked position, whereat the pawl engages and locks the gear in the latched position, and an unlocked position, whereat the pawl disengages the gear. An actuator is operatively engaged with a vehicle door to automatically move the pawl to the unlocked position responsive to movement of the door to an open position.

摘要: A system and method of controlling a dynamic time-pressure profile associated with a perforation event that includes extending a perforation assembly within a casing string; firing a perforation gun of the perforation assembly; measuring, using a sensor of the perforation assembly, pressure within the casing string, wherein the measured pressure forms the dynamic time-pressure profile; identifying a first measured pressure within the dynamic time-pressure profile; identifying, using a controller of the perforation assembly, a first difference between the first measured pressure and a first reference pressure; and adjusting, using a first pressure generator of the perforation assembly, the pressure in response to the first difference to control the dynamic time-pressure profile; wherein the sensor, the controller, and the first pressure generator provide a feedback control loop.

摘要: An injector can include an ignition device having a partition member which forms a first space to store a gunpowder and which is formed of a prescribed rigid material such that the partition member is breached based on a rise in pressure of the first space when the gunpowder is burned. The injector can also include a case including a base section fixed on a side of the ignition device. The case can be arranged in a space inside the injector main body so as to cover the ignition device. The case can define a second space with the partition member of the ignition device and encapsulate, inside the second space, a combustion product of the gunpowder. When the gunpowder burns in the ignition device and pressure inside the second space rises, a part of the case extends so as to approach a prescribed end section.

摘要: An actuator assembly includes an actuation member, a release member, and a source of pressurized gas, wherein during a normal mode of operation, the actuation member and the release member are engaged to move in unison, and wherein during an emergency mode of operation, pressurized gas automatically decouples the actuation member from the release member to move separately. In accordance with yet other aspects of the present disclosure, an electro-mechanical actuator includes an electro-mechanical drive system and an integrated backup system operated by a gas generator, wherein when the backup system is activated, the electro-mechanical drive system is decoupled, and the actuator moves to a predetermined position and mechanically locks in place.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling wellbore pressure within a wellbore during a perforation event by changing a state of a valve system multiple times. Information generated about the wellbore pressure within the wellbore may be received. A state of the valve system, which is positioned relative to a chamber within the wellbore, may be changed multiple times based on the information received to create a plurality of pressure conditions that substantially match a reference pressure profile. Each of the plurality of pressure conditions is selected from one of an underbalance condition and an overbalance condition.
