摘要： The invention relates to a fastener (10) for attaching together workpieces (50a, 50b) having aligned holes therethrough, the fastener (10) comprising a shank portion (11) and a head portion (13) provided at one end of the shank portion (11), the diameter of the shank portion (11) and/or of the head portion (13) being selected such that the fastener (10) can be installed in the aligned holes in close tolerance. The fastener (10) further comprises an oversizing structure (20), said oversizing structure (20) being firmly bonded to at least a part of the shank portion (11) and/or the head portion (13) in order to oversize at least the part of the shank portion (11) and/or the head portion (13) such as to allow the fastener (10) to be installed in aligned holes (60a, 60b) having a diameter larger than that required for the fastener (10) without the oversizing structure (20).

The method further includes contacting the curable sealant on the first article metal surface with an electrically conductive surface of a second article, and curing the curable sealant.

Before installation, at least the conductive surface (26; 56) is coated with a lubricating layer (30), which comprises a mixture of at least one polyolefin and one polytetrafluoroethylene, for example, having sufficient adherence to prevent its abrasion by manual manipulation of the fastener and being weak enough to be at least partly stripped from the conductive surface during the interference fit assembly of the fastener.The invention is applicable to the assembly of aircraft structures.

摘要： The object of the invention is a cap to lubricate an inner wall of a perforation going through at least two elements of the structure. The cap comprises a tubular body and at least one lubricant reserve, and before installation in the structure said cap has a largest external diameter larger than an internal diameter (DS) of the perforation, and the cap lubricates the internal surface of the perforation when its largest external diameter is radially compressed by a wall of the perforation. The invention also concerns a fastener comprising this type of cap, and an interference assembly process for the fastener equipped with the cap. The invention is applicable to the assembly of aircraft structures.

摘要： A method for treating surfaces of fasteners made of titanium alloy or corrosion-resistant steel using a sol-gel pretreatment process prior to the application of an aluminum pigment coating. The sol-gel pretreatment process produces an interface film on the fastener surface, which interface film comprises an organometallic-based network system. The interface film aids in improving adhesion and surface roughness when fasteners are used in interference fit conditions (i.e., the hole diameter is smaller than the fastener shank diameter).
