In one aspect a method includes generating gaseous fuel (e.g., from biomass dissociation) at a first location of a low elevation. The gaseous fuel can be self transported in a pipeline to a second location at a higher elevation than the first location by traveling from the first location to the second location without adding energy of pressure. A liquid fuel can be generated at the second location of higher elevation by reacting the gaseous fuel with at least one of a carbon donor, a nitrogen donor, and an oxygen donor harvested from industrial waste. The liquid fuel can be delivered to a third location of a lower elevation than the second location while providing pressure or kinetic energy

The device has a main gear adapted to disengage from the meter gear when the main gear is rotated excessively so that any damage to the meter gear and potentiometer, which may occur during installation or use, is prevented.

The valve assembly has a two part housing, one of the parts having a sight glass secured therein. The sight glass is visible through cutouts in the housing. When the poppet valve is opened, fluid flows through a flow channel in the valve assembly. The fluid, being different colors, may be easily seen through the sight glass from a distance.

The dry pipe valve further includes a clapper pivotable about an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis between a first position occluding the passage when the ratio of the second pressure to the first pressure is at least 5.5 and a second position permitting fluid flow through the passage when the ratio is less than 5.5.

In one form, the lamp features a tank having opposing front and rear surfaces that are substantially parallel to one another, at least one light source, a plurality of immiscible fluids of varying densities contained within the tank and a housing unit for aesthetically and functionally supporting the tank. The light source illuminates the liquids within the tank and can provide sufficient radiant heat to cause the temperature of the fluids within the tank to increase such that they become less dense. As the fluids within the tank become warmer and less dense, they begin to rise in the tank at varying rates and can create a dynamic visual display. In addition to the light source, alternative heat sources can be employed to provide added heat to the immiscible fluids within the tank.

    摘要: A seismic safety valve has a housing with a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a fluid passageway interconnecting the inlet and outlet. A recess is formed inside the housing along the fluid passageway, with a valve seat located adjacent to and below the recess. A valve member, made of a magnetic material, is in the fluid passageway and movable between a first position in the recess and a second position on the valve seat. The valve member closes the fluid passageway in the second position and opens the fluid passageway in the first position. The recess supports the valve member so that the valve member is movable from the recess upon the housing being subjected to a predetermined amount of seismic activity under forces generated by the predetermined amount of seismic activity and gravity. At least one electromagnet is on the housing outside of the fluid passageway. The electromagnet can be used to automatically activate the valve by moving the valve member, or may be used to reset the valve after the valve has been activated.
