    摘要: A pipe assembly may have one or more pipe segments that are coupled together or coupled to a drive socket by a coupler. The coupler may have a body with a generally tubular shape with an interior surface and an exterior surface. First and second flanges may extend outward from the exterior surface to engage the drive socket, thereby providing enhanced stability and coaxiality. The interior surface may have an upper receiving feature that can receive the bottom end of an overhead pipe segment, and a lower receiving feature that can receive the top end of a subtending pipe segment. The upper receiving feature may have an upper threaded bore with a lead-in portion that facilitates alignment of the overhead pipe segment with the upper threaded bore. The interior surface may also have a stop feature that prevents over-insertion of the top end and/or the bottom end into the coupler.

The method for attaching a filler pipe attaches a filler pipe to the aperture of a fuel tank with an attachment member therebetween, and is characterized by containing: a fitting step for fitting the tubular attachment member to the inside of the aperture of the filler pipe; a contact step for contacting, to the surface at the periphery of the aperture of the fuel tank, a first flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the attachment member, and a second flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the filler pipe; and a welding step for welding the first flange and second flange to the surface.

    摘要: A poppet valve assembly is provided for use on a fuel tanker truck which enables the truck's driver to determine whether fuel is flowing through the valve assembly and whether fuel is present in the valve assembly. The valve assembly has a two part housing, one of the parts having a sight glass secured therein. The sight glass is visible through cutouts in the housing. When the poppet valve is opened, fluid flows through a flow channel in the valve assembly. The fluid, being different colors, may be easily seen through the sight glass from a distance.

    摘要: A flexible pipe for conducting fluid, such as offshore production fluids, has interior tubing, a series of rings and clamps, and exterior tubing. The interior tubing has an extruded tube and a surrounding layer. Outer rings dispose about the interior tubing and abut end-to-end. Inner rings dispose on the tubing and fit in between each of the outer rings. These inner rings have tapered surfaces that fit against beveled ends defined in each end of the outer ring's internal bore. The clamps affix the abutting ends of the outer rings together, and the exterior tubing disposes on the series of rings and clamps. This exterior tubing has an inner layer of wrapped tape surrounded by an extruded tube. A flange couples by an end clamp to the end ring of the pipe, and inner and outer supports on the flange support the interior and exterior tubing.

    摘要: In a joint structure for coupling a first component (21) to a second component (22) in a joint portion of a fluid flow passage, the second component (22) has a portion thereof inserted into the first component (21) to engage with the first component (21). The second component (22) is provided with a flange portion (26), which is disposed adjacent to a bottom surface of the first component (21) and welded or bonded to the bottom surface, so that these components (22, 21) are coupled with each other in an easy and a fluid-tight manner in a condition in which they are prevented from rotating relative to each other without using any locking pin. There is no fear that the components (22, 21) dissolve in a fluid or gaseous material passing through the fluid flow passage. The joint structure is easy in maintenance.

    摘要: An improved device and method for plumbing a recirculating water pump into a hot water heating system, the water pump having a pair of connecting flanges on the inflow and outflow sides of the pump. The present invention includes a section of copper tubing which has one end flared, the flare preferably being at approximately right angles to the longitudinal axis of the tubing. Further, an installation flange is provided having a central hole and an inside face to be positioned against a corresponding face of a connecting flange of the recirculating water pump, the copper tubing being inserted through the central hole of the installation flange with the flared end positioned against the inside face of the installation flange. A flexible gasket, having a central opening, being positioned between the installation flange and the connecting flange of the recirculating pump. The installation flange and flexible gasket being connected to the connecting flange of the recirculating pump with bolts.
