    摘要: A power converter and an operating method therefore are disclosed. The power converter includes an output stage, an input voltage detecting unit, and a pulse width modulation (PWM) unit. The output stage is coupled between an input terminal and a ground terminal. The input voltage detecting unit is used to detect an input voltage. The PWM unit is coupled to the output stage and the input voltage detecting unit and used to provide a PWM signal to the output stage. The PWM unit adjusts an on-time of a switch conducting signal of the PWM signal according to the input voltage and a default voltage. When the input voltage is lower than the default voltage, the PWM unit increases the on-time of the switch conducting signal and a period of the PWM signal.

The power tracking device includes a power voltage setting circuit, a switch, a switching signal circuit, and a voltage memory circuit. The switching signal circuit is configured for sending a first control signal to the switch. When the switch receives the first control signal and electrically isolates the power source and the power voltage setting circuit, the voltage memory circuit stores an open circuit voltage of the power source and sends a setting voltage relative to the open circuit voltage, and when the switch receives the first control signal and electrically connects the power source and the power voltage setting circuit, the power voltage setting circuit sets an output voltage of the power source to correspond with the setting voltage.

    摘要: A method and system for implementing DMPP tracking of partially shaded/uniformly illuminated photovoltaic arrays using switched capacitor DC-DC converter is disclosed. Here, a dedicated SC converter is connected across each PV cell or PV module made of series connected PV cells wherein series connected modules make a PV string and parallel connected PV strings make up a PV array. This SC converter injects an equalization current across the PV module or PV cell so that the total current in the parallel combination of the PV module or PV cell and the corresponding SC converter is the same as the PV string current. In another implementation of DMPP tracking using SC converters, a dedicated SC converter is connected across each isolated PV module to perform MPP tracking of the respective PV module. Then all MPP tracking SC converter outputs are diode ORed to the common load.

The power control method includes finding the MPP by applying a continuous ON/OFF signal to the boost converter as a first control signal for controlling a duty ratio of the boost converter, and maintaining an operating point of the photovoltaic system at the MPP by applying a second control signal for controlling the duty ratio to the boost converter depending on a constant-voltage command. In tracking an MPP in a photovoltaic system, an MPPT algorithm may remain at the MPP, without self oscillation, improving fast dynamic characteristics upon a change in solar radiation.
