Abstract:
The present invention involves methods for the delivery of a plurality of parcels shipped by one or more shippers to a location via a carrier. Methods are disclosed for aggregating parcels shipped by one or more shippers for a single delivery to the location, thereby reducing the need for multiple deliveries to the same location. In one method, the dates of the shipment of the parcels are coordinated such that the plurality of parcels may be delivered substantially simultaneously to the customer. In another method, some parcels are delayed in their shipping route while others may be expedited such that the plurality of parcels are delivered substantially simultaneously to the location by the carrier.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for assisting sort operators in identifying the appropriate location to sort an item. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, a system for identifying a particular bin from a plurality of bins for sorting a package is provided. The system includes a plurality of bins configured to receive sorted packages; an optical reader positioned to capture destination indicia associated with the package; a keypad comprising a plurality of keys, where in at least some of the keys are associated with individual bins of the plurality of bins and at least some of the keys include lights; and a control system. The control system is configured to: receive data from the optical reader relating to the destination indicia; identify a particular bin within the plurality of bins associated with the received data; and trigger illumination of one or more lights on the keypad.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for facilitating cross-platform authentication. The apparatus may include at least one memory and at least one processor configured to detect that a visual token includes data indicating one or more authentication credentials for accessing a communication device in response to scanning the visual token. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to communicate the authentication credentials of the detected visual token to the communication device to request the communication device to determine whether the authentication credentials are valid for a user. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to enable access to the communication device in response to receiving an indication from the communication device that the authentication credentials of the detected visual token are valid. Corresponding computer program products and methods are also provided.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a repair or purchase program that may be associated with a common carrier. In various embodiments, one or more bids for a target item are received prior to receiving a listing for an item. After receiving the listing for the item, one or more relevant bids may be identified. Information associated with at least one of the identified bids may be provided. A user selection of one of the identified bids may be received. Completion of the transaction indicated by the user's selection may be facilitated. Associated methods, systems, and computer program products are provided.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide systems, methods, and computer program products for dynamically monitoring transport of a plurality of packages potentially containing regulated goods so as to ensure compliance with one or more regulations within a plurality of jurisdictions. The embodiments utilize one or more computer processors or one or more executable portions to: receive transport data associated with the transport of at least one of the plurality of packages and regulatory data associated with the at least one jurisdiction in which transport occurs; determine whether the one of the plurality of packages contains at least one regulated good; if the presence of at least one regulated good is determined, validate consignor data and the transport data; whereby in response to an unsuccessful validation, at least one report is generated to prevent or otherwise mitigate transport of the one of the plurality of packages in the at least one identified jurisdiction.
Abstract:
Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for segmenting operational data and identifying events of interest in the segmented operational data. With the events of interest identified, a total time between the events of interest can be determined.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatus, and computer program products are provided for initiating shipment of and payment for shipping a parcel. For example, in one embodiment, a customer/user can receive a message on a user device from a carrier that includes an authorization code for shipping a parcel. After the customer/user ships the parcel, the carrier can charge a variety of accounts for the shipping charges, including a wireless services provider associated with the user device. In another embodiment, the customer/user can interact with a kiosk to ship the parcel. In this embodiment, the carrier can also charge a variety of accounts for the shipping charges, including a wireless services provider.

Abstract:
Various embodiments provide a service cycle management system for intelligently evaluating one or more parameters of a reverse service cycle loop within a supply chain management infrastructure. The system comprises one or more processors configured to: receive the real-time data comprising one or more parameters associated with execution of one or more service tasks; retrieve the simulation data from the one or more memory storage areas; dynamically compare one or more parameters within the real-time data against corresponding one or more parameters within the simulation data to identify one or more discrepancies there-between; in response to identifying one or more discrepancies, and generating one or more representations thereof, so as to inform one or more users of the system of one or more areas for focusing future initiatives. Associated computer program products and computer implemented methods are also provided.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to concepts for on-boarding potential new customers for a carrier, wherein each potential new client has unique requirements. A method for on-boarding new clients comprises steps for identifying the unique requirements of the potential new customer by comparing the new customer's business model against identified issues common to entities having similar business models. Based on the identified unique requirements of the potential new customer, instructions for implementing required special procedures are generated. A pricing strategy is generated based on the identified customer requirements and any special procedures necessary for implementation of the customer requirements. During implementation, the provided services are monitored, and reports and/or alerts are generated for the customer and/or the carrier. Moreover, the identified issues common to certain business models may be updated to reflect new issues identified during implementation of the service.
