摘要: A soft tissue filler comprising a biodegradable amino-acid derived polycarbonate-urethanes and methods of repairing soft tissue defects are provided. The biodegradable soft tissue filler comprises a porous scaffold that is the reaction product of: a) a divinyl oligomer component that comprises a carbonate-derived divinyl oligomer that is the reaction product of a lysine-derived diisocyanate, a vinyl coupling agent, and a polycarbonate and, optionally, an ether-derived divinyl oligomer, wherein the ether-derived divinyl oligomer is the reaction product of a lysine-derived diisocyanate, a vinyl coupling agent, and an ether; b) at least one anionic monomer; and c) at least one hydrophobic monomer. The molar ratio of (a):(b+c) is between about 1:≥21 and about 1:30, the soft tissue filler has a porosity of >75%; and a compressive moduli of between about 1 kPa and about 50 kPa.

Mouse models of neurological disorders having increased or decreased expression of SRRM4 and/or SRRM3 are also disclosed.

摘要: Assays used in conjunction with a thermal contrast reader are disclosed. In the assay, the test strip includes materials that can develop a thermal response if a target analyte is present in a sample. Linear flow assays include nanoparticles with high affinity binding to the analyte. Binding of the nanoparticles with an analyte in the sample is detected using thermal contrast. Analytes over a broad range of concentrations are detected in the linear flow assays. Methods of detecting target analytes and kits comprising lateral flow assays and thermal contrast reader are also disclosed.

摘要: Fully homomorphic encryption integrated circuit (IC) chips, systems and associated methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of operation for a number theoretic transform (NTT) butterfly circuit is disclosed. The (NTT) butterfly circuit includes a high input word path cross-coupled with a low word path. The high input word path includes a first adder/subtractor, and a first multiplier. The low input word path includes a second adder/subtractor, and a second multiplier. The method includes selectively bypassing the second adder/subtractor and the second multiplier, and reconfiguring the low and high input word paths into different logic processing units in response to different mode control signals.

摘要: An improved method for sharing power between multiple battery energy storage systems (BESS) connected to a common DC network having a nominal voltage wherein the current from each BESS is regulated based upon a voltage-current characteristic which defines an output current which increases linearly in a predetermined ratio as the measured system voltage decreases. The predetermined ratio is constant in respect of each BESS. The output current of each BESS varies based upon an external signal that varies with the state of charge of the BESS.

A method for biosynthesis of adipic acid from six-carbon dicarboxylic acids having α, β-enoate reductase activity by treatment with an enzyme is provided. The biocatalytic conversion of aliphatic and hydroxycarboxylic acids to corresponding aldehydes, alcohols, and amines using novel carboxylate reductases, aldehyde reductases, and aminotransferases is described. Also provided are genetically engineered microorganisms for use in the biosynthetic processes.
