Abstract:
A floating gate and a fabricating method of the same. A semiconductor substrate is provided. A gate dielectric layer and a conducting layer are sequentially formed on the semiconductor substrate. A patterned hard mask layer having an opening is formed on the conducting layer, wherein a portion of the conducting layer is exposed through the opening. A spacer is formed on the sidewall of the opening. The patterned hard mask layer is removed. A conducting spacer is formed on the sidewall of the spacer. The exposed conducting layer and the exposed gate dielectric layer are sequentially removed.
Abstract:
A bipolar heterojunction transistor (HBT) includes a collector layer, a base layer formed on the collector layer, a first transition layer formed on the base layer, an emitter layer formed on the first transition layer, a second transition layer formed on the emitter layer, and an emitter cap layer formed on the second transition layer. Each of the first and second transition layers is formed of a composition that contains an element, the mole fraction of which is graded in such a manner that the conduction band of the HBT is continuous through the base layer, the first and second transition layers, the emitter layer and the emitter cap layer.
Abstract:
A floating gate and fabrication method thereof. A semiconductor substrate is provided, on which a gate dielectric layer, a conducting layer, and a patterned hard mask layer are sequentially formed. The surface of the conducting layer is covered by the patterned hard mask layer to form a gate. The conducting layer is etched to a predetermined depth to form an indentation using the patterned hard mask layer as a mask. The conducting layer is oxidized to form an oxide layer on the surface of the conducting layer. The oxide layer and the conducting layer are etched to form multiple tips using the patterned hard mask layer as a mask.
Abstract:
Devices for controlling the flow of fluid through plastic tubes, such as tubes which are part of a disposable blood donation tubing set are disclosed. The device has a clamp adapted for attachment with one or more other clamps to allow for easy flow control through two or more tubing segments.
Abstract:
Disclosed are dentifrice compositions comprising in a single phase: (a) from about 0.1% to about 30% of one or more linear polyphosphates having an average chain length of about 4 or more; (b) an ionic active ingredient selected from the group consisting of a fluoride ion source, a stannous ion source, a zinc ion source, a copper ion source and mixtures thereof, wherein the ionic active ingredient is present as a solid dispersion in the composition and delivers and effective amount of ionic active when solubilized; (c) a binder system comprised of (i) from about 0.05% to about 3% of a thickening agent selected from the group consisting of polysaccharides, carbomers, poloxamers, modified celluloses, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) from about 0.1% to about 70% of at least one humectant; wherein the dentifrice composition has a total water content of less than about 10%. Further disclosed are methods for stabilizing dentifrice compositions by providing such a binder system.
Abstract:
A method for forming a vertical nitride read-only memory cell. First, a substrate having at least one trench is provided. Next, a masking layer is formed over the sidewall of the trench. Next, ion implantation is performed on the substrate to respectively form doping areas in the substrate near its surface and the bottom of the substrate trench to serve as bit lines. Next, bit line oxides are formed over each of the doping areas and an oxide layer is formed overlying the mask layer by thermal oxidation. Finally, a conductive layer is formed overlying the bit line oxides and fills in the trench to serve as a word line.
Abstract:
A parenteral fluid delivery bag having a line set formed integral with the bag, the line set being peelably releasable from the remainder of the bag so as to assume a deployed position adapted to enter into fluid communication with a patient. In an alternate embodiment, a plurality of bags connected by an integrally formed wye-junction are adapted for delivery to a patient and retrieval of fluid from a patient.
Abstract:
A tubing has members located on the inside surface of a tubing. The flow through the tubing is completely occluded when the tubing is clamped due to the members filling channels around the clamped site. Reduced clamping pressure is required to fully occlude the flow through the tubing. The tubing undergoes less deformation upon clamping and returns to its pre-clamped form upon recovery.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved coextruded medical port tubing. The medical port tubing provides characteristics that are desirable in the medical industry and therefore can be used as a medical port tubing in, for example, renal therapy or blood donor tubes. To this end, the present invention provides a coextruded medical grade port tubing comprising: an outer layer comprising a blend of polypropylene copolymer and styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymer; a tie layer; and a core layer comprising polyvinyl chloride.
