    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of registering a communication client at a communication server, wherein the communication client is associated to a mobile terminal and wherein the communication server is associated to a mobile switching node of a circuit switched network, the method comprises the steps of: initiation a connection between the communication server and the communication client, sending identification information to the communication server by the communication client via the connection, interrogating an authentication module of the mobile switching node to perform a user authentication by the communication server, fetching subscriber information from a database by the communication server, and sending subscriber information to the communication client via the connection.

    Abstract: The invention proposes several methods for codec handling. In specific, methods involving providing a supported codec list of a Call Control Server are described. A node receives information, whether a terminal supports a wideband codec, wherein the information is received in call set up signaling from the terminal of the subscriber. Furthermore, configuration information is retrieved, whether a Radio Access Node supports the wideband codec. Additionally, information is retrieved, whether a media gateway supports the wideband codec, wherein the information is either provided by the operator or retrieved from the media gateway (MGW1, MGW2, MGWx). The information is analyzed and in response to the analysis a supported codec list is provided. Furthermore, alternative embodiments and devices adapted for the methods are disclosed.

    Abstract: A routing system transfers data packets of real time communication services of a call, and includes a converter receiving media gateway control protocol encoded first control data and processing the first control data to obtain second control data. The system, based on the first control data, allocates a first transport address for a first routing port for incoming data packets, and allocates a second transport address for a second routing port for outgoing data packets. A central control entity controls a central control entity controlled network of forwarding elements, and determines a static pathway through the network of forwarding elements based on the second control data. A first end of the static pathway corresponds to the first routing port and a second end corresponds to the second routing port. The central control entity controls a data plane flow of a stream of the data packets along the static pathway.

    Abstract: A call to a dual mode user equipment is handled by using a further access network from cellular telecommunications access network. An indication of an incoming call to the user equipment is received in a control node that the device can be reached via a device using session initiation protocol (SIP) via the cellular telecommunication access network.     Abstract: A method of interworking CS (Circuit Switched) video calls with video calls using IP multimedia protocols is provided. According to the method, an interworking function receives signalling comprising an indication of the codec capability of a CS terminal involved in the CS video call, as part of a MONA (Media Oriented Negotiation Acceleration) negotiation.
