Abstract: Systems and methods herein can analyze a bandwidth restriction in a communication stream of an Access Point (AP). Then, based on the bandwidth restriction, the AP can determine a lower amount of wireless bandwidth to provide to station wireless communicating to the AP. The AP can then modify a bandwidth allocation assigned to the station based on the lower amount of wireless bandwidth.

Abstract: An access point allocates resource units within a first channel to mitigate interference from an adjacent second channel. The access point obtains a measure of signal strength corresponding to each wireless device attached to an access point, and assigns, for each wireless device, resource units with a first frequency band of the first channel to mitigate interference with a second frequency band of a second channel adjacent to the first channel. An assignment between a set of resource units and a particular wireless device is based on the measure of signal strength corresponding to the particular wireless device. The access point communicates with the wireless devices on the resource units.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to dynamic methods of managing roaming of client devices at boundaries of area serviced by access points. In one aspect, a method includes estimating by a controller, first signal information of a signal transmitted by an access point and received at a client device, the first signal information being from the perspective of the access point, the client device operating at a boundary of an area serviced by the access point; determining, by the controller, second signal information for the signal, the second signal information being from the perspective of the client device; and performing, by the controller, roaming management of the client device based on the first signal information and the second signal information.

Abstract: Wireless access point locations can be determined by processing a combination of wired and wireless telemetry. Wireless telemetry can be combined with backend network management information to isolate a set of access points within a radio frequency neighborhood cluster. Wired telemetry, including time domain reflectometer operations performed by a local switch, can be used to refine location estimates of the isolated set of access points. Trilateration can be used to pinpoint the access point locations and the pinpointed locations can be overlaid on a floor plan map.

Abstract: Presented herein are methodologies for managing radio resources in a venue that implements a high density wireless infrastructure. The methodology includes detecting, using wireless access points, neighbor awareness networking (NAN) communications broadcast by a mobile device, determining a wireless channel on which the mobile device is sending the NAN communications, predicting a destination of the mobile device based on a path, through a predetermined venue, being taken by the mobile device, the path being detected using the wireless access points; and implementing a radio resource management remediation technique to reduce radio interference that is expected to be caused by the NAN communications broadcast by the mobile device at the destination based on the wireless channel and the destination.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for dynamically adjusting cell coverage sensitivity to address asymmetry of wireless cells that affect upstream and downstream traffic mismatch. In one aspect, a method includes estimating, at a network controller, one or more packet demodulation thresholds for an access point; sending, by the network controller, the one or more packet demodulation thresholds to the access point; receiving, from the access point, collected statistic, the collected statistics being link performance characteristics between the access point and one or more endpoints associated with the access point measured by one or more sensors associated with the access point; updating, at the network controller, the one or more packet demodulation thresholds based on the collected statistics to yield an updated packet demodulation threshold; and configuring, by the network controller, the access point with the updated demodulation threshold.

Abstract: A hybrid relay for high density venues may be provided. First, a user density value at an Access Point (AP) disposed above a ground level may be determined. Then a user density value at an AP-relay disposed at the ground level may be determined. Next, it may be determined that a difference between the user density value at the AP and the user density value at the AP-relay is greater than a predetermined threshold. The AP-relay may then be switched from a sensor mode to an AP-relay mode in response to determining that the difference between the user density value at the AP and the user density value at the AP-relay is greater than the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a supervisory device for a wireless network classifies each client of a set of access points in the wireless network as either an Internet of Things (IoT) device or a non-IoT device. The supervisory device selects, for each of the access points in the set, a channel width based on the classifications of its clients. The supervisory device assigns, for each of the access points in the set, one or more wireless channels for use by that access point, based on the selected channel width for that access point. The supervisory device instructs the access points in the set to use their assigned channels to communicate with their clients.

The service populates a database of radar features with the received radar data. The service trains, using the database of radar features, a machine learning-based model to predict channel usages by the radar. Abstract: In an example embodiment, a neighbor radio/access point (AP) list is obtained. The neighbor AP list is optimized for a client that is associated with a current access point. The list may be optimized based on any one or combination of techniques, including but not limited to roaming patterns of previous clients that were associated with the current access point, radio frequency metrics, bandwidth requirements for the client, and/or any other suitable criteria. In particular embodiments, requests from the client to associate with an access point that is not on the optimized neighbor AP list may be denied.
