摘要： There is disclosed a process for producing an acrylamide polymer which comprises polymerizing acrylamide monomer alone or a monomer mixture composed of 50 mole % or more of acrylamide monomer and a monomer capable of copolymerizing with acrylamide monomer in the presence of an azo series polymerization initiator and 0.1% by weight or more of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole or a salt thereof based on the weight of the monomer in an aqueous medium having a pH of 6 or higher at a temperature range of 5 to 100.degree. C., and then drying the resulting material.

摘要： A film forming apparatus comprises of a microwave generating device and processing chamber. The processing chamber has a substrate therein, holds the pressure of atmosphere gas therein at a predetermined value, and generates plasma while introducing the microwave generated by the microwave generating device for forming a film on the substrate. The microwave is introduced in the processing chamber through a dielectric member disposed in the processing chamber. Further a shielding member is disposed in the processing chamber so as to be opposite to the dielectric member for preventing the attachment of film forming material to the dielectric member.

摘要： An acrylic fiber produced by the dry-spinning process having, as characteristic properties, a tensile strength of 1.2-2.5 g/denier, a knot strength (g/denier)-knot elongation (%) product of 25 or less and a boiling water shrinkage rate of 5% or less. Said fiber can be obtained by dry-spinning a spinning solution of acrylonitrile type polymer containing 85% by weight or more of acrylonitrile, stretching the resulting fiber in hot water at a stretch ratio ranging from 1 to 2, subjecting the stretched fiber to a drying and relaxing to give the fiber a shrinkage of 10-40% and then stretching it at a stretch ratio of 1.2-2.3 at a temperature of 180.degree.-210.degree. C.
