摘要： A feeder for a machine tool adapted to move a table relative to a saddle by rotation of a motor includes a ball thread nut fixed to the saddle and a ball thread shaft that engages with the ball thread nut in a rotatable manner but is immovable in an axial direction of the ball thread shaft relative to the table. The motor is fixed to the table and the ball thread shaft is coupled to the motor. A sum of a movable distance of the table relative to the saddle and a length of the saddle in the axial direction is shorter than a length of the table in the axial direction. The feeder further includes rails fixed to the table on its surface where the motor is fixed and bearings that are fixed to the saddle and bear the rails.

摘要： An intake system for a V-type multiple cylinder internal combustion engine includes a plurality of parallel first intake pipes 15L connected to the plurality of cylinders of a first cylinder row, a plurality of parallel second intake pipes 15R connected to the plurality of cylinders of a second cylinder row. The first intake pipes 15L and the second intake pipes 15R extend into an air distribution case 10 so as to extend across each other. A first inlet pipe 13R is provided at a part of a first side wall 11R of the air distribution case 10 corresponding to a substantially middle point of the row of the first intake pipes 15L, and a second inlet pipe 13L is provided at a part of a second side wall 11L of the air distribution case 10 corresponding to a substantially middle point of the row of the second intake pipes 15R. Air flows through the first inlet pipe 13R into the first intake pipes 15L and air flows through the second inlet pipe 13L into the second intake pipes 15R. Dispersion of the amounts of air sucked into the cylinders can be suppressed and the generation of rambling noise can be suppressed.

摘要： With respect to a lead detection method that uses rhodizonic acid, it is made possible to clearly identify pink or red coloration caused by a reaction between lead and rhodizonic acid even in cases where Sn is present in a specimen. To this end, an acidic aqueous solution or a buffer solution thereof (e.g., tartaric acid) in which hydrogen peroxide coexists is used as a reagent. Hydrogen peroxide oxidizes Sn2+ into Sn4+. Since Sn4+ does not react with rhodizonic acid, the presence of Sn does not interfere with the visual identification of any pink or red coloration caused by the reaction between lead and rhodizonic acid.

摘要： A fixing apparatus includes a first heat generating member that generates heat upon receiving power from a commercial power source, an electrical condenser that stores charge when charged by the commercial power source, and a second heat generating member that generates heat upon receiving power from the electrical condenser. A fixing member is heated by the first and second heat generating members and fixes an image onto a recording medium. A control device is provided to restrict the power supplied from commercial power source to the first heat generating member when the temperature of the fixing member starts increasing. The electrical condenser starts supplying power to the second heat generating member before the control device terminates restriction of the power.
