摘要: An energy converter includes a resonator adapted for generating a sound wave in a medium, and a movable member disposed in a progressive direction of the sound wave generated by the resonator, and adapted for being driven by an acoustic radiation pressure resulting from the progression of the sound wave. Since the vibrational energy of the resonator is conveyed to the movable member as the acoustic radiation pressure by way of the medium, the present energy converter exhibits an excellent energy conversion efficiency. Namely, the loss is reduced during the conversion of the vibration of the resonator into the driving force for the movable member, and accordingly the present energy converter exhibits a high conversion efficiency. The present energy converter may further include a stator adapted for holding the stator thereto and disposing the liquid therein. If such is the case, the energy converter can be applied to liquid media.

摘要: A control system allows an automatic parallel operation of a plurality of embroidery sewing machines each in accordance with individual pattern sewing control data. The control system essentially comprises a group of random access semiconductor memories capable of storing a plurality of sets of pattern sewing control data, each of which permits a single pattern sewing to be completed, a plurality of branch electronic controllers each associated with a different one of the sewing machines, and a single main electronic controller for reading one or several blocks of pattern sewing control data from the semiconductor memory and supplying it to the branch controller. The branch controller feeds a request for data supply to the main controller in timed relationship with the operation of the sewing machine. In response to such request, the main controller supplies the data by reading it from the semiconductor memory at an address which is determined by the pattern number of the particular sewing machine which is preset on an operating panel and an address count which is updated as the machine sewing operation proceeds. The main controller is formed by a microcomputer while the branch controller is formed by a microcomputer having a memory or an electronic read-write controlling circuit which includes a buffer memory.

摘要: A motor control system for one stitch sewing control of a sewing machine is disclosed. Motor speed is controlled by controlling the trigger phase of motor drive thyristors. Two needle position detectors are employed to detect the arrival of the sewing needle at predetermined halt positions. A pair of motor speed indication signal generator circuits, a pair of memory circuits and a start pulse generator circuit are employed. When the one stitch sewing mode is selected and the foot controller is forced down, the first memory circuit memorizes the start of one stitch sewing and energizes the first motor speed indication signal generator circuit so as to drive the motor of the sewing machine at a predetermined sewing speed. When the first needle position detector detects the arrival of the sewing needle at the lowered halt position, it deenergizes the first memory circuit and the first motor speed indication signal generator circuit, and energizes the second memory circuit for energizing the second motor speed indication signal generator circuit so as to drive the motor at a predetermined lower sewing speed. When the second needle position detector detects the arrival of the sewing needle at the raised halt position, it deenergizes the second memory circuit and the second motor speed indication signal generator circuit. Deenergization of the second memory circuit causes a brake command signal which activates a brake means.

摘要: A boiling water nuclear power plant supplies steam from a reactor to high-pressure and low-pressure turbines. Feed water generated by condensing steam in a condenser is heated by low-pressure and high-pressure feed water heaters and supplied to the reactor. The steam discharged from the low-pressure turbine is compressed by a steam compressor and supplied to one of the low-pressure feed water heaters to heat feed water. The steam extracted from the low-pressure turbine is supplied to the low-pressure feed water heater. When power required for the steam compressor is Q1, heat energy supplied from the steam compressor is Q3, a coefficient of performance of the steam compressor is COP (=Q3/Q1), and a thermal efficiency of the boiling water nuclear power plant is η, the steam compression apparatus is connected to a position in a main steam system and to the feed water heater so as to satisfy COP−1/η>0.

摘要: The present invention relates to a display control apparatus and method, and a program which make it possible to suppress deterioration in the image quality of an image.A backlight luminance calculating section (121) finds the backlight luminance of light to be radiated by a backlight, on the basis of the image signal of an image. A subtraction section (142) finds the difference between the backlight luminance from the backlight luminance calculating section (121), and a backlight luminance from an addition section (141). A multiplication section (143) multiplies the found difference by a cyclic coefficient indicating the degree of contribution of the difference to correction of the backlight luminance, obtaining a correction value. The addition section (141) adds the correction value to the backlight luminance to correct the backlight luminance. Also, from the image signal and the backlight luminance, a division section (124) calculates the transmittance of light in a liquid crystal panel that displays an image by transmitting light from the backlight. The present invention can be applied to a liquid crystal display apparatus.
