    摘要: A sander according to the present invention having a housing, a motor mounted in the housing, wherein the housing comprises an upper housing section and a lower housing section, the upper housing section includes an inner surface, the lower housing section includes a motor housing, the lower housing section at least partially overlapped by the upper housing section, and a grip portion formed on the upper housing section. The upper housing section is connected with the lower housing section through a damping means including at least a damping element positioned on the inner surface the upper housing section and on the periphery of the motor housing section, the damping element engaged with engagement member. The arrangement of the damping means simplifies the connection between the upper and lower housing sections, while effectively reducing the vibrations in the horizontal and vertical directions when the sander is in use.

    摘要: A television tuner employs a triple-conversion architecture to translate VHF/UHF TV signals to various standard IF frequencies. The television tuner includes a harmonic rejection mixer, a first image rejection mixer and a second image rejection mixer. The television tuner receives a television signal. The harmonic rejection mixer up-converts the television signal into a first IF signal according to a first reference signal with a fixed frequency. The first image rejection mixer further up-converts the first IF signal into a second IF signal according to a second reference signal with a tunable frequency. The second image rejection mixer down-converts the second IF signal into a third IF signal according to a third reference signal with a tunable frequency.

    摘要: Embodiments of a method for nucleic acid-mediated control of a nanoparticle shape are disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more nucleic acid oligomers are adsorbed to a metal nanoseed, and additional metal is deposited onto the nanoseed to produce a shaped nanoparticle. In certain embodiments, the nanoseed is gold and the oligomers are 5-100 nucleotides in length. The nanoparticle shape is determined at least in part by the nucleic acid sequence of the oligomer(s). Shaped nanoparticles produced by embodiments of the method include nanoflowers, nanospheres, nanostars, and nanoplates. Embodiments for using the shaped nanoparticles also are disclosed.
