    Abstract: A WTRU may be configured to perform radio link monitoring (RLM) based on RLM reference signals (RLM-RSs) transmitted in a cell operating in an unlicensed spectrum. The WTRU may evaluate a radio link failure (RLF) status for the cell using a first RLM criteria based on the RLM-RSs. A transmission instance of the RLM-RSs may be skipped, for example, due to a listen before talk (LBT) failure at a gNodeB (gNB). The WTRU may adapt or change the first RLM criteria and/or evaluate the RLF status of the cell operating in the unlicensed spectrum using a second RLM criteria based on determining that the transmission instance of the RLM-RSs was skipped. The first RLM criteria may correspond to a first RLM process that utilizes a first set of RLM parameters. The second RLM criteria may correspond to a second RLM process that utilizes a second set of RLM parameters.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) determines PDCCH candidates. For a slot, the WTRU determines a number of valid PDCCH candidates associated with at least one search space based on a number of designated search spaces associated with the WTRU in the slot, a type of the search space, a priority associated with the search space, a number of required CCE channel estimates associated with the search space, a maximum number of PDCCH candidates in a slot, and a number of control resource sets (CORESETs) associated with the slot. The WTRU may then attempt to decode CCEs in the at least one search space to recover a PDCCH associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may drop PDCCH candidates from the search space when the number of PDCCH exceeds a maximum value.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for power saving in a wireless network are disclosed. A Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) may comprise a transmitter, a receiver, and a processor. The processor may determine a processing state pertaining to behavior of the WTRU and determine a minimum amount of resources to be processed for one or more sets of physical resources based on the determined processing state. Each respective set of physical resources may comprise resources in time, and any of frequency or space. For each respective set of physical resources, the time may comprise a frame structure associated with a numerology applicable to the respective set of physical resources, the frequency may comprise any of a frequency location, a bandwidth, or the numerology, and the space may comprise one or more beams. The processor may process the determined minimum amount of resources of the one of more sets of physical resources.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for radio link monitoring (RLM) implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are provided. A representative method for RLM includes mapping, by the WTRU, one or more RLM-RS resources to at least one BLER threshold of a plurality of BLER thresholds. The representative method also includes, for each respective RLM resource that is mapped, determining, by the WTRU, a BLER of the respective RLM-RS resource, and comparing the determined BLER of the respective RLM-RS resource with the at least one mapped BLER threshold associated with the respective RLM-RS resource. The representative method further includes generating, based on one or more of the comparisons, a set of in-sync indications and/or a set of out-of-sync indications, and indicating, by the WTRU, one or more attributes associated with the set of in-sync indications and/or the set of out-of-sync indications.

    Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

    Abstract: The disclosure pertains to methods, apparatuses, and systems directed to adaptive uplink power control in a wireless network. In an embodiment, the WTRU obtains a maximum transmit power level assigned for the WTRU. The WTRU identifies first and second groups of transmissions for transmission by the WTRU on an uplink, determines a first guaranteed power level for the first group of transmissions and a second guaranteed power level for the second group of transmissions, adjusts one or both of the first and second guaranteed power levels based on one or more previous activities of the WTRU and the obtained maximum transmit power level assigned for the WTRU, and transmits the first and second groups of transmissions at least at the first and second guaranteed power levels, respectively.

    Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems, and apparatuses for receiving a first type of transmission and a second type of transmission. A WTRU may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) during a first downlink (DL) transmission interval allocating first radio resources in the first DL transmission interval for reception of a first type of transmission. The WTRU may receive data from the first type of transmission in the first radio resources. The WTRU may receive data from a second type of transmission in second radio resources that include one or more predetermined regions within the first radio resources. The WTRU may receive a second DCI during a subsequent second DL transmission interval indicating that the data from the first type of transmission was preempted by the data from the second type of transmission. The WTRU may process the data from the first type of transmission based on the second DCI.
