Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed herein for pre-processing for channel state information (CSI) compression in wireless system. A WTRU may receive configuration information that indicates a reference signal and a data processing model for channel state information (CSI) compression. The WTRU may determine CSI associated with a channel using the reference signal. The WTRU may determine a channel condition associated with pre-processing. The WTRU may select a pre-processing type from a plurality of pre-processing types based on the data processing model and the determined channel condition associated with pre-processing. The WTRU may pre-process the CSI associated with the channel based on the selected pre-processing type. The WTRU may generate compressed CSI by compressing the pre-processed CSI using the data processing model for CSI compression. The WTRU may send the compressed CSI to a network.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information that indicates resources on which channel assessments are to be performed. The configuration information may indicate a first set of resources associated with a first subband. The first subband may be associated with a first beam. The configuration information may indicate a second set of resources associated with a second subband. The second subband may be associated with a second beam. The WTRU may perform first channel assessments (e.g., first periodic channel assessments) using the first set of resources. The WTRU may perform second channel assessments (e.g., second periodic channel assessments) using the second set of resources. The WTRU may receive a request message to report channel assessment outcomes. Based on the request message, the WTRU may send the channel assessment outcomes. The first subband may be indicated as available. The WTRU may monitor a transmission using the first subband.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for panel activation and/or deactivation for uplink multi-in multi-out (MIMO) transmission are disclosed. A device, such as a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may have one or more antennal panels. Each panel may have an identifier (ID). Based on reported feedback that includes measurement information, one or more panels may be activated or deactivated. In some embodiments, a gNB may determine whether to activate or deactivate a panel. In other embodiments, a WTRU may determine to activate or deactivate a panel.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor LBT subbands to determine when a COT is activated. A WTRU may vary monitoring based on whether the WTRU received a full or partial COT structure. A WTRU may interpret a scheduling grant based on the set of acquired LBT subbands. A WTRU may determine a channel access priority (CAP) associated with a COT. A WTRU may indicate a CAP used to acquire a COT. A WTRU may receive an indication of a CAP used by a network to start a COT. A WTRU may determine a logical channel restriction based on a CAP associated with the COT. A WTRU may determine whether a logical channel may be included in a transmission during a COT based on a logical channel restriction. A transmission may be during a COT via a subband(s).

Abstract: A method performed by a WTRU may comprise receiving a plurality of LBT configurations associated with one or more of a beam, a BWP, a LCH, a set of LBT parameters, a transmission type or an LBT subband. The method may further comprise receiving an indication to transmit using a first LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. An attempt to acquire a channel may then be made using the first LBT configuration. The indication to transmit may additionally indicate a second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. Data may be transmitted on the channel when the attempt to acquire the channel is successful. An attempt to acquire the channel using the second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations may be made when the attempt to acquire the channel using the first LBT configuration fails.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for initial access are described herein. A method may comprise receiving a signal in associated time and frequency resources. The signal may have an associated subcarrier spacing and an associated beam, and the signal may include synchronization signals and bits of a master information block. The method may further comprise determining control channel characteristics based on the signal. The characteristics may include a beam of at least one control channel and a location of the at least one control channel. The method may further comprise receiving a transmission over the at least one control channel based on the determined control channel characteristics.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein are provided for beamforming and uplink control and data transmission techniques. Such techniques enable a UE to maintain at least one beam process for operation with multiple beams and/or points. A beam process may be indicated for transmission or reception over a downlink or uplink physical channel. Power, timing, and channel state information may be specific to a beam process. A beam process may be established as part of a random access procedure in which resources may be provisioned in random access response messages. Techniques are provided to handle beam process failures, to use beam processes for mobility, and to select beams using open-loop and closed-loop selection procedures.

Abstract: A WTRU may be configured to perform radio link monitoring (RLM) based on RLM reference signals (RLM-RSs) transmitted in a cell operating in an unlicensed spectrum. The WTRU may evaluate a radio link failure (RLF) status for the cell using a first RLM criteria based on the RLM-RSs. A transmission instance of the RLM-RSs may be skipped, for example, due to a listen before talk (LBT) failure at a gNodeB (gNB). The WTRU may adapt or change the first RLM criteria and/or evaluate the RLF status of the cell operating in the unlicensed spectrum using a second RLM criteria based on determining that the transmission instance of the RLM-RSs was skipped. The first RLM criteria may correspond to a first RLM process that utilizes a first set of RLM parameters. The second RLM criteria may correspond to a second RLM process that utilizes a second set of RLM parameters.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are provided to determine the size of a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook to be transmitted over a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The HARQ-ACK codebook size may be determined by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) from the HARQ timing and/or counter downlink assignment index (DAI), or may be received in a downlink control information (DCI). HARQ-ACK resource determination may be based on the feedback timing. A WTRU may implicitly indicate the size of the HARQ-ACK codebook, and/or may fall back to a default HARQ-ACK codebook size.
