Abstract: Disclosed dressing embodiments may include a tissue interface and a cover, with the tissue interface shaped anatomically for interaction with a specific anatomical region, such as a foot. Such tissue interface embodiments would typically comprise a manifold and a fluid control layer having a plurality of fluid restrictions, with the manifold disposed in a stacked relationship with the fluid control layer. Some embodiments of the tissue interface might also include a gel layer in a stacked relationship with the fluid control layer, opposite the manifold. For foot dressings, tissue interface embodiments may be shaped with a hindfoot section, an underfoot section, and a forefoot extension section.

Abstract: A medical drape for use with a reduced pressure system for providing reduced pressure to a tissue site is described. In some embodiments, the drape may include a flexible film, and an adhesive layer coupled to the flexible film. The adhesive layer may include a first adhesive disposed on a first portion of the flexible film in a first pattern. The first adhesive can be configured to secure the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The adhesive layer generally includes a second adhesive disposed on a second portion of the flexible film in a second pattern. The second adhesive can be configured to seal the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The first pattern and the second pattern are preferably registered so that the first portion and the second portion are offset to cover substantially different portions of the flexible film.

Abstract: A release liner, for example for use with a tissue cover having a first adhesive and a second adhesive, may comprise a first release agent adapted for the first adhesive and a second release agent adapted for the second adhesive. Typically, the first release agent is different from the second release agent, and the first release agent may be configured to interact with a first area of the cover having the first adhesive, and the second release agent may be configured to interact with a second area of the cover having the second adhesive. In some embodiments, the release liner may be multi-layered, for example with a first layer comprising the first release agent and a second layer comprising the second release agent. Some such embodiments may have perforations through the second layer of the release liner, with the first layer then being disposed with respect to the second layer in such a way as to expose the first release agent through the perforations in the second layer.

Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to a compound film. An exemplary compound film includes a first layer including a first polymer composition including polyurethane and a second layer including a second polymer composition removably coupled to the first layer. The compound film further includes light switchable adhesive coupled to the second layer and configured to transition from a first state to a second state, the light switchable adhesive has a first peel strength in the first state that is greater than a second peel strength of the light switchable adhesive in the second state. A third peel strength between the first layer and the second layer is less than the second peel strength between the light switchable adhesive in the first state and a bond site.

Abstract: A garment includes a cover, a pump coupled to the cover, and a control system operably coupled to the pump. The cover is configured to surround a limb or a joint and to prevent air from entering or leaving an enclosed region between the limb or the joint. The pump is configured to remove air from the enclosed region. The control system is configured to control the pump and to regulate a negative pressure within the enclosed region. In some embodiments, the control system is configured to regulate a negative pressure of the enclosed region based on mobility data from a sensor.

Abstract: A system for negative-pressure therapy is described. The system includes a dressing configured to be positioned adjacent a tissue site and a piezoelectric pump having at least one inlet and at least one outlet. An adapter is coupled to the piezoelectric pump and configured to be fluidly coupled to the dressing. The adapter is configured to aggregate fluid flow into the at least one inlet. The adapter can have a block. A first recess depends into the block, and a second recess depends into the block from the first recess, the second recess having an area less than the area of the first recess. A bore depends through the block from the second recess to the first side, and a conduit is coupled to the first side and fluidly coupled to the bore.
